The second song with Portakosmo at The Lengths in Fort William last week. all in one take this one, im running out of ideas of what to film hahahaha. The idea with this one is i did this song on a morning that the frost had all but vanished, it was sunny and it felt like making a more uplifting but cold song.

Love the inaccuracies in time and pitch inherent in voltage controlled gear, slightly reminiscent of 'analog mess' by In Aeternum Vale (audio) and live at Pompeii (visual). I spent/wasted/dedicated 8 years of my life to building a thing called a polymorph, a 20 channel non linear midi sequencer with mechanical clocking and punch card to midi conversion via a programmable interface built in Max, designed to assign channel outputs to CC for tweaking envelope parameters on outboard synths via midi or CV, to produce auto generated complex modulation. It blew my mind and I never really recovered. Unlike you who seem to go from strength to strength. Props man props
There's something reminiscent of _2001: A Space Odyssey_ to me, seeing synth monoliths in the wild like that.

Yeah, on watching this video I suddenly realised that the monolith is really just a very big modular synth. It totally explains the weird noises they make.
Yeah, British landscape with modular synth monolites, two of my favourite aesthetics smashed together.
That's a banger. Loving the new dark psychedelic sounds.
New era have begun...!!!!! I thought yesterday that Cloud Inversions was the best I heard but today I dont know. Likely it's second best now
Loving these new tunes from Scotland, they have a real Death in Vegas feel to them but with beautiful views
Carrying the cases and all the snow in the background, reminded me of old Canadian beer commercials where you'd often see Sasquatch carrying around cases of beer.
Watching you walking with it on your shoulder makes me think you should make a modular synth boom box

From the thumbnail I thought he was wearing it on his head. Not sure I want to give him that idea!

I agree, make a synthbox!
Sorry for double posting but I’ve never watched a YT vid before and watched the like count go up like this. It’s like watching the jackpot come up on a one-armed bandit. Love it.
Congratulations Sam! You are now an honorary member of the Royal Society Of Putting Things On Top Of Other Things :p
Nice to see the synths in their natural environment, organic and free ranging.
This is an absolute banger of a track. I've had it on repeat for like an hour now.
some of those images would make good artwork for an album cover
Love this heavier sound
The cases kind of remind me of the monolith from 2001: a space odyssey. Good stuff!
What a lovely backsplash of that loch and mountain
"a rather cold morning, as the synths roam and grase in there natural habitat" I like the vibe, keep it up man!
Love this series mate!
Nice with Ben Nevis in the background. Enjoying the sounds too!
This has a very nice "Underworld" sound to it 🥰🥰🥰!!!!!!!
You Sir are my kind of Freak! I’ve been a long time subscriber and love your art, eye for art and dedication to your craft! You Rock!
Incredible visuals and even better music.
Sam, a work of F**KING genius, both in the music and the video which meld together seamlessly! Well done mate! 🙂😎❤
That intro was very Pink Floyd-esque, love it.
The very 1st time that place has ever heard sounds like that!!!! The fish in that lake are thinking "wtf is going on out there?"
Great Job my Friend 👍👈 Warm Greetings from Germany to UK 🕊️🎹🐯🎶🎵
Great track Sam! Scotland is inspiring in so many ways... I moved to Aberdeenshire two years ago and I'm now working on an album. Love the location in the video - I was last in Fort William in 1990, I must return to the Highlands at some point.
Amazing as always, you have the energy of a million stars!
Fantastic scenery & great sounds - I love that ❤🎹
Just the best music/vid combo I’ve seen in a long time. Driving synths. More please!
A nice 🏴 counterpoint to 🇩🇪Hainbach totems 💕🤗
Wonderful 🌊
Incredible ! I really love this !!!
And on this day man discovered Synth and it was good
Another highland banger 🗻💥❗️❗️❗️
Love this. Great job, Sam!
Thawing sequence makes me think of slight bias voltage differences or whatever happens with transistors and resistors when its cold vs warm
I love the Space Odessy monoliths theme. I liked your previous video a lot with a 'hint of Sam'
Up my way I see! This is great though. It reminds me of those monolith things that kept appearing in strange places.
Love your stuff. Keep doing what you’re doing, it’s great.
Quite simply - art!
Pretty incredible, and your lives are amazing too. I cant help but wonder if you'd ever think of getting into producing for some of the artists currently out there. Imagining don tolliver or yeat vocals on top of this is making me float
Whoa this got trippy
beautiful and brilliant as always sir. bravo!
You still have to do this on the mountains in the background
Inspiring, tbh
The video was as cool as the music! Loved it!
ANother great one! Love this more solemn musical touch and also how you still convey joy and whimsy in the video!
Beautiful
...keep up this work forever... ✌
Oh Sam, you're so amazingly weird, and I'm here for every minute of it. :D♥
Don't have many reasons to plug in the ATH-M50x's these days but your videos are definitely one.
Need Thomas Heaton to join up and do a synth-lake district landscape shoot.
This made me smile 🙂
Strangely brilliant... 🤪
Amazing stuff my man!!!
Beach? thats putting it nicely :D
That sounded oddly good. The bass was enormous, without making my speakers sick, and your racks looked pretty clean for once... not that they look bad when they're sleazy.
What an odd video! love it
It's cool that you got them to work while not plugged in like that.
Awesome bro!!!
This is so good
awesome!! loving your work mate, did a few miles to film this one haha, not too far from where i live ether!!
Thanks!
Sounds great, where in the UK is that, surely not Kent?? Looking forward to your Portakosmo video👍
Awesome Jam LMNC
This is awesome! Keep em coming! I’d love to use your music as the soundtrack to one of my videos 🤘
you should put some of the sounds like this plus your music on youtube music id listen to them there all the time if i could
Tranquil
Darn cool!!! 😎
This is dope
We should organize a week long rave...
The musical version of Colin Furze
Hell yeah
Master.
This is Sam at his most modular
You’re having a whale of a time my boy, definitely in your happy place.
Nice Electro vibes.
over here in some seasons our beaches look like this, minus the synths.
good bloops
« Filmed and directed by Anton Corbjin » 😉
Approved.
Did I just watch an Ad for a Synthesizer that isn't even being sold
good!
I wonder if we could share syntesizer music with Aliens, waveforms and all the trickery of manipulating then being somewhat universal like Maths.
nice
I definitely can relate two last enjoy the silence videos. (ᵔᴥᵔ)
OOPS! was still at 2x speed when this vid started and it was WILD!

Were you going for a monolith or stereolith ? What's next, Synthhenge ? 🤣😂🤣
