100% this is a Tales of styled game. Kudos to them for bringing back in some sort of fashion. The frame rate does look a little wonky at points but it's got a certain charm to it. Hopefully this does well.

Wish they would find a way to make it work like Onepunchman did. But I guess it's too much to ask for since EVERYONE in Rimuru's faction became overpowered with just the press of a button. No way to make that work as an actual mechanic in an RPG.

@@venth85 They used 2D sprites on a 2D battlefield right up till Tales of Symphonia, when they started using battle sprites that were more realistically scaled. The next game, Legendia, chose to go back to the 2D battlefield, but with 3D characters, just like it shows in this trailer. Therefore, the comparison.

2:10 of course it glitches out when Rigurd is shown flexing I’ve been playing Isekai memories since day 1 so I can tell the switch game got a good handle on the city building and the new unique stories look interesting. If they can fix the drop rate frame by the time of game release, i think it would do well

The frame rate looks oddly choppy during combat at several points, like it somehow can't render the graphics or attacks in time. That bothers me. Also the cutscenes have that same choppy rate only it appears to be a constant thing, and I don't care for that. It looks less stylistic and more like a rendering problem that actually takes away from the scene. It looks nothing like stop motion or Spider-Verse and just looks like a PS2 struggling to render an overloaded system it wasn't designed for. A 2-D beat em up is neat and all but this looks very poor quality. I like the idea of using anime inspired attacks, but this certainly isn't an ARC System style. It looks like a budget cut: Let's just play a an anime clip. I mean, the transition isn't the worst, but it does look like a fairly cheap solution. It's okay, but it leaves a lot more to be desired after experiencing things like the Naruto Ultimate Ninja series that recreates and stylizes the anime techniques, and even the ye olde DBZ Budokai series that faithfully recreated the scenes back on the PS2, and did it without dropping frames. The hub world town area seems to be the most well put together and I like how smooth that looks, but the rest of the game just looks bargain bin. Sorry but this just looks so outdated for a current gen game, especially after the Sandland trailers. Hopefully it'll be decent, but I'm not interested until I see a good review or a seriously good discount.

Could have been huge if they made a full actual console game in the Tales style with this. Reincarnated as a slime is big enougn for a full release it is too good of an anime to be stuck on a mobile game.

yknow i think a dynasty warriors type of game would work if they're making another tensura game... kind of. (fighting the Orc lord, Falmuth kingdom, Clayman's army, and especially the megiddo moment)

First thing I throug is "Tales of TenSlime" Day one for sure.

01:53 So does the story stop at the battle against the Kingdom of Falmuth or does it continue past that but stops being fully voiced? It kind of kills any enthusiasm I'd have for the game when it gets announced during the airing of a season it won't cover. Unless the "Goblin's Revenge" and "Religious Nation" arcs are actually covered in the third season.

i used to think the same until i played *against the storm* but the city building mechanics in this game won't be anything like it so yeah...

Looks like Sakuna of rice and ruin, just hope it is as good too.

I was so excited. I thought I finally had something I could get for my birthday. But no, of course it has to release in August, after my birthday and during a month where I have several other games I'm also waiting for.

i hope this game wil have a lot of people buying it so thre can com more maybe higer quality games from this franchise

Lol, that’s not how it works. If a lot of people would buy the game, the developers would start to produce more cash grab games, because would buy them anyway. If this game is 60$, it‘s definitely not worth buying. Max 20$.

man if only they gave this to platinum games to develop the games combat. but keep the city builder aspect of the game because that is actually a good idea.

When i saw a slime isekai game being made for consoles, i kind of wish it was at least similar to ni no kuni 2 sense the building in that game was good but i wont write this game off immediately but ill be waiting for reviews and possible discounts before buying it if its not up to par

I was hoping for something similar. Almost all the anime games we get are hot garbage compared to the source material. This could have made for a really interesting game where depending on which creatures you absorbed you would learn different skills and combo skills with a more open world that you could explore to expand the Jura Foundation. I don't necessarily think the story of this game is bad, but the crappy 2D sprites and side scroller stuff just doesn't appeal to me anymore... If I wanted something like that I'd go with Mario or something. This looks and feels like a cash grab and I probably won't go near it. I'm sick of gaccha cash grabs and half-completed hastily created anime games that were only designed to cash in on IP. Boring copy-paste games need to stop.

I LOVE THIS, it reminds me of my favorite game…. Tales of destiny… the whole tales of series is great they’ve improved it a lot though. The new tales of arise is most recent installment… but i may be getting this slime game even tho i dont play games like i used to anymore

@@tiredcat1485 Not exactly. Sometimes it's fun and exciting playing trough the hype moments of the story. Sometimes it builds upon the story, filling some gaps in between events with cool stuff. There are the bland examples, of course but not all are like that.

i welcome any anime game that isn't an arena fighter, specially if it's a RPG and if it's has such a tales of vibe it's even better

I can see in the description what consoles it's set to release on, but why wasn't it included in the video? Or am I tripping and somehow missed it? The gameplay (and dialog) has a Tales of Legendia vibe to it, and I kinda hope it plays like a Tales game. Why is there a season pass already announced for something that's a little less than four months away? Why has this been normalized?

New game

I'm extremely mixed on this. At first I was neutral, then I was excited, then I was let down, then I returned to my initial neutral state. I went into it thinking it was mobile game so I checked out a bit(there's been too many game announcements that I get excited for just for it to be yet another mobile gacha game). Then it said it was an Action RPG so I sat up for a moment just to quickly see that it looks like Bleach Brave Souls if it was a only side scroller(I'm pretty sure BBS Bosses are Side Scroll Battles, but you get to actually run around in a 3D environment when facing regular enemies), which I don't really have anything against, but it looking like BBS instantly reinforced my belief that it'd be mobile. I'm fine with the art style/chibi nature of the characters, because it honestly fits Slime, but the fighting being Side Scrolling was definitely not what I expected when it said Action RPG(at least you were in 3D while in Tempest, but it seemed kinda on the rails there). That being said, my excitement re-reached neutrality when it said there was a new story by the author, and that it was on consoles(even if it would've been a mobile game(which it isn't), it being on console as well instantly makes me more interested). It being a console game, but looking like a mobile game is a double edged sword. Mobile games can be really good, but the gacha systems get in the way, so them making it a game that costs money gets rid of the gacha elements, which instantly makes me more interested. This isn't a game I'm highly anticipating, but I'll definitely check it out if I don't have anything else I want to play, and it isn't too expensive(I'd hope it's not $60-$70 based on what I saw, but it could have enough content to justify the cost, so I won't judge it purely based off of how it looks).

They need to make more of an open world type game. Its a good show and they could make the game big and make good money on it

I wonder if we will be able to transfer data from mobile.

Bro this was hype till it was a side scroller. Yall had infinite power to do whatever on this game. Couldve made a 3D world with the current story and make remiru do side quests to build his town and people and even incorporate the mobile story. But no shitty side scroller.
