@james_ford86
Жыл бұрын
DeAngelo Hall is tied for the record with a whole bunch of other players, like mjf2891 said. So, you can't give him sole credit for that record. He was just unfortunate that the Bears decided to bench Jay Cutler after his fourth INT. If Cutler had played longer, it's certainly possible Hall could have gotten his 5th, and record-breaking, INT.
The craziest part to me is that the first INT came right before the 2 minute warning in the first half. Another crazy thing is that the browns were only able to score 10 points off of 7 INT since they had 14 at time of first INT😂😂
The fact that it was only a 10 point game with 5 minutes left when he had already thrown 6 picks is crazy
The fact that it was a 2 score game still lol😭😭😭🤣😂😂😂

He took the term pick 6 a bit to literally, and added 1 for good measure
I'm glad the coach didn't pull him. He knew history was in the making and didn't stand in its way.
I remember watching Ty Detmer pull one of the biggest upsets in history when BYU beat a very stacked Miami team. Man what a crazy game that was.
So he threw his 1st pick with 2:10 left in the 1st half, and threw his 7th with 4:26 left in the game. Good lord, that’s 7 picks in less than 28 minutes of game time! 😳
This is taking the term “throwing the game away” a little too literally
Everyone's first game of madden be like this.
Player: Hey coach you want me to play WR or CB? Coach: Yes
that is impressive the defense held the other team to only 24 points when their offense turns it over 7 times😂

I remember watching this. 🤣 I'll never forget it.
Forget 7 interceptions in one game, that was a 7 interceptions in a total of less than one half! Also how the heck was this so close, the lions must have had an incredibly good defense
@james_ford86
Жыл бұрын
Uh... no. The Browns' offense was just that bad. This Lions team was so bad it only won 2 games in a 16 game season. The offense was bad, but the defense wasn't much better. The Browns had a good defense that year, but their offense was just as bad as Detroit's. Sure, their starting QB never threw 7 Ints in a game that year, but that's only because the Browns' coach wouldn't have let a QB play that long if he's tossing INTs left and right. He'd bench him and put in the backup.
What makes this even worse is the fact that all of those picks except for the 3rd one were bad throws. The announcer said it best, "He's forcing the ball too much".
Brandon Gaudin: And- Oh my, another interception!
Love how it was kinda a close game
Nathan peterman has a new challenger.

They weren’t just any picks either, at least four of them were absolutely _brutal_ picks
Video idea: All Shaquille O'Neal's 3 pointer in his career. Trust.
Only the Browns could force 7 interceptions and only win by 10 points
“and you get a pick, and you get a pick, and you get a pick..”
That the greatest performance of all time!!
2 questions. How tf did Cleveland put up only 24 points after 7 turnovers forced? And how tf did they not take this guy out of the game??
I don't know what's more impressive, the fact he threw 7 Picks against the Browns or the fact the Browns didn't do a damn thing WITH those picks
Why is it everyone not talkin about Brett Favre having 8 turnovers against the Rams in the NFC championship in 2001

This guy was a Heisman winner
The commentator was like “Uh….uh…awful…uh” the whole video
Tk: the one time Me: hold my madden copy
These weren't just interceptions. These were direct throws to the opposite team lol.
The part that wild is the first one didn't come untill 2 minutes left in the second quarter. He didn't just throw 7 in a game, he threw 7 in just 32 minutes
The only time browns fans and player get excited for having the ball
In madden you can throw 8 int and win and the announcer always references this game
I like how each interception is some how even worse than the last
Tell me you lost your job without telling me you lost your job
What makes this such a unique stat, is not that there aren't many quarterbacks bad enough to throw that many interceptions. It's just rare that those quarterbacks are able to stay in the game that long without being benched.
Ty Detmer was never really given much of a chance in the league. Had he been a first round pick like he deserved to be and had a coaching staff committed to his success, he would have had a lot of success. He would have really shined in today's NFL.
Somehow still a kinda close game
0:48 the Browns linebacker pointing towards the endzone instead of blocking the tackler who runs right by him is maybe the dumbest thing I've ever seen on a football field
Whoa man, I don’t know if I’ll have the time to get through this long upload

I think peterman was worse because he threw 5 ints in the FIRST HALF. Then they took him out for the game at halftime. Peterman was on pace for 10 interceptions that game! That’s more interception than the amount Mahomes threw ALL YEAR.

Wow. I had never watched these "highlights" before, but I always assumed a few of the seven had to be just bad luck. Turns out, only that Hail Mary at the end of the half can be discounted. The rest were just awful decisions. Oh, Ty. Ty, Ty, Ty.
Can you imagine being the Detroit defense and your QB giving their offense 7 extra possessions?
What’s funnier is that even though Detmer threw 7 picks, Tim Couch threw a pick 6
The only thing Ty Detmer ever did in his NFL career was teach Favre the Nickel Defense
I'm more concerned with the fact that, even after *seven* interceptions, the Browns were only leading by 10 points.
