@@gabriellevalentino7319 That doesn’t always mean the pilot airs first. The first season for Phil of the Future is different for production and airing order, at least if Disney+ has the episodes in broadcast order. The episode arc showing the Diffy’s arriving and settling into Pickford is halfway through the season and isn’t framed as a flashback (unlike the Christmas episode in season two, which is a flashback episode). When Wikipedia tends to order by broadcast date that’s a big thing.

I love the whole point about the adults in a lot of kid's sitcoms being idiots and buffoons, but Raven's parents not being like that. I definitely get the feeling that a lot of other shows would have had Cory's little plan work on them, at least when Cory tried it (obviously it wouldn't work for Raven, because sitcom logic), but Raven's parents always felt really real to me. Like all the other Disney shows have the parents being so goofy that they're barely parents (in Good Luck Charlie for sure, the dad in Wizards of Waverly Place most of the time, Robby Ray in Hannah Montana rarely ever knows what schemes his kids are cooking up, the parents in Phineas and Ferb are oblivious) but Raven's parents were goofy and still very parental...and anyway it was a masterpiece of a show.

The Dad in Wizards was a GOOD dad what r u talking about? More often than not, he busted the kids (particularly Alex). Maybe u didn't watch that show in-depth or notice it but he and the mom are definitely one of the stronger sets of parents on the network. Good Luck Charlie's parents were also really caring towards their kids, I've watched the show (even tho I didn't finish)

@@musiclover_kb4913 I mean they’re definitely good parents and they love their kids a lot, my point was just that the dad in Wizards of Waverly Place was pretty goofy a lot of the time, but I feel like both parents in Good Luck Charlie were way more goofy and silly and they act more like older siblings than parents (like Spencer in iCarly). It’s definitely not a bad thing, they love their kids and it’s a sitcom, it should be funny, but like idk That’s so Raven just always felt a lot more realistic to me, that was all I was really trying to say

Victor and Cory having a talk about how hard it is being a kid these days was very poignant to me as a kid. We did have to be in school for the equivalent of a workweek, and then after school we'd get several extra hours of work dumped on us, and the pressure to get good grades was insane, and if you didn't past your state's graduation tests you didn't get to graduate, and...it was a lot, and having a show that pointed that out and had a dad apologize to his son for not realizing how hard it could be was really something special.

I even remember how both Hannah Montana and Suite Life initially got in trouble for those episodes because of insensitive representations. I also don't think Disney would EVER used the word 'retarded' again in their current shows and movies like Tru confession did.

It’s truth in television sadly, teachers who really shouldn’t be around kids and abuse the power trip.

Everybody is easily offended and sensitive these days and its really affecting the amount and type of humor in movies and shows. The early 2000s were great ...technology was advanced (for that time) we could get good quality shows that weren't really restricted to certain topics, and overall everything and everybody weren't this uptight. 😂 People in this day and age need to chill

"But you know back in my time ..." You know why parents nowadays blame the teachers? Because those parents were the kids who got chewed out by their parents "back in your time". So they make the active decision to make their kid out to be this perfect blameless angel because that's what they wished their parents did when they were kids.

What I remember about "That's So Raven" was when she moved a girl who was sitting next to her [Raven's] crush to another location in the restaurant. When the girl said something like "Hey! I was sitting there!" Raven callously replies: "That's how it WAS... this is how it IS" and the left the poor girl at her new location.
