Ken peters is a legend he still works at Seaworld lol him and Kasatka had a lot of water work problems. Kasatka is an incredible mother helping her daughter never leaving her side

She had a lot of problems with a lot of trainers being in the water with her, especially when Kalia was a baby.

This is probably an old rerun of That's My Baby - Takara the Killer Whale with the new opening sequence.

Tell me this isnt the coolest shit ever.....The apex predators of the sea want to be our buddies. And the rocket hops are so amazing. What a rush that must be!! And the anti caps would rather have these guys starving to death in Pugent Sound or dying off the coast of Norway like Keiko...

John hargrove needs to resee this . Maybe it will clear up the lies he said in black fish.

The shots where Ken Peters and the blonde trainer are playfully interacting with the whale - that's not Takara that's Kasatka. Like I know Takara is Kasatka's daughter so they might look alike but that whale is definitelyyy Kasatka. Why lie?

So, here's my guess - they didn't actually film Kohana's birth because it happened to quickly.

Perhaps during the time that when they were doing the filming there, Takara was not up for interacting for any number of reasons. So the trainers instead used Kasatka as a stand-in for the TV show. While many of us really interested in cetaceans can easily tell them apart, the vast majority of people cannot. Substituting Kasatka for a moment doesn't necessarily mean anything malicious on their part. Giving Takara the option to participate at a particular time or not is more important than making sure every single scene is of exactly her.

They did use film of Takara actually giving birth to Kohana in this episode, but perhaps they did a lot of the other filming post-birth of Kohana and she was busy taking care of a baby so Kasatka was used instead for some pre-birth stuff.

Kohana’s birth had me wondering- is nakai her uncle or her brother? Or is he both?

Both. Nakai is her Uncle because he is a son of Kasatka. And he is her brother because Nakai and Kohana were both fathered by Tilikum.

Tell me that isnt awesome.
