Thanks for another great video Brian. It was interesting and enjoyable to watch. Congratulations on finishing your corn planting season for 2024. Yeah!!!!!!!!!! You really have some narrow roads to travel going from field to field. Your fields are smaller and kind of all over the place. I am not used to that. Here in central Iowa our fields for the most part are large and flat and all pretty much together. Just the difference in where we farm. You do real well with it Brian. My compliments To you and the family!!!!!!! How is the new combine doing in the wheat ground???? Anxious for a combine video to see the new Fendt in action. Guess that is about it. Thanks for everything Brian. You all take care and be safe. The Iowa farm boy. Steve.

I grew up NE of you, in Guernsey county in the 50’s/early 60’s. Drove tractors on township roads, but the size of equipment was different, three moleboard plows, two row corn planter, 8ft grain drill etc. Family farm, in a different time

My dad met a Jeep on the road with our combine with duals, the jeep had just passed a driveway and he had nowhere to go. He pointed to the driveway and she shook her head no. He had to drive forward and put the feederhouse above her hood and sat there. She eventually backed up 20 ft into the driveway and gave him the 1 finger wave when he drove by.

I’ve seen that happen a few times with people. I think some of them don’t actually know how to back up their cars. I had to back up a car for one lady that had no idea how to drive in reverse. She was actually afraid to even try. I’m still amazed how some people ever got their drivers licenses. I’ve seen some incredibly bad drivers that had no business being on the road.

I live in Europe, in a village, we only have tight roads. 😅Expect the main road, it's wider, but at least it's busy too. Nothing is better than looking at perfectly distanced cars coming from one way at a time, so you have 0 chance of going out with a tool.

And everyone tells me how wide all the roads are out there that you can fit articulateds with triples and 15ft implements around really easy. When we made little bales we had to go around certain ways or through fields as a lot of roads are 8ft wide and the baler was 10ft our neighbour has to do the same with his class 8 combine without the header on though our road is 8ft you can get up it with mounted machines up to 9ft wide by wiggling around trees and poles though it does leave a working word slipping out when you meet a car or van thatonly half pulls off or a couple more when you meet a lorry.

About 10-12 years ago on the (now converted to 4-lane) US-35 2-lane bottleneck in Mason County WV, a nice young family man was taking the tractor to Yauger's Farm Supply, turning left across the opposing lane. He was in his 30s when she killed him. About 15 cars and tractor-trailers were behind him and when turned off, a woman from Michigan passed the whole line and since she was running about 85mph and topping a hill at the same time there was nowhere for her to go but through that big John Deere that was turning left. She was going so fast, it was obvious when he looked, she'd still have been outta sight. Passing 15 cars and trucks on a very busy 2 lane rural highway, running 85 miles an hour and passing on a downhill curve. BRILLIANT!

Ah up here in Columbiana and Carrol county some roads a old Massey 300 combine was to big and a 806 with duals took up 90% of the road . The one farm i farmed i had a old covered bridge to deal with and only my 706 and four bottoms would go thru and at that we were pushing the our luck on weight . Everything else i had a total of 14 miles to go to get into it . What i hated the worse was the time on old U S 30 . It was narrow and lots of truck traffic with lots of hills and NO place to pull over . If the Creek was running low i could go thru the cow gate and wade thru the creek and bypass the covered bridge . BUT that did not happen often .

Yes. Sometimes I have someone go ahead of me and block the road so I can get through. Had one the other day not cooperate and got around our guy blocking. He had to back up for about half a mile. And while doing it was cussing and flipping me off. We blocked him in and called a trooper friend. He got some humbling behavior modification papers. Lol.

LSWs pull harder than anything else on a tile plow. The way the tile plows put weight and pull down on the back of the tractor there’s nothing better. Our 9230 Deere with 1100lsws and a soil max would walk circles around a new holland or case quad. Wet or dry. Big key with them is weight

May not be tractors, but i take equipment down the road a lot for work. Its always fun when you meet a combine on a narrow 2 lane road in a CAT 740 off road truck. But he was nice enough to pull into a driveway since i was the bigger machine.

Brian, i’ve been watching your videos with the new planner. I just have one question why do y’all run the planners with the wheels between the row units rather than the wheels in front of the toolbar I noticed on Larsson‘s farm he’s actually bought a planner with the wheels in front of a toolbar because of the dirt and debris building up between the wheels and the planner unit just food for thought Grace and peace
