Right? Where's my Donald Hallinger?😁🥂🍾💃
The picture of the horses in Donald's apartment is the same picture that hangs on the wall above the couch of the Petrie's house in the Dick Van Dyke Show. Makes sense as Danny Thomas was involved (behind the scenes) in both shows so I'm sure a lot of the same production people and equipment were used on both shows.

Great observation. Well done🎉😂
Bill Bixby was a fine actor. Ironically, his name in this particular "That Girl," was Banner, which if I am not mistaken is the name of the more famous human like character, prior to becoming "The Hulk."

I thought the same as soon as I heard the name here. Now it'd be _really_ weird if Bixby had played a guy named Banner in his sitcom _The Courtship of Eddie's Father_ also!

When Anne goes into her long winded fast explaining stories ...I get tired instead of her. She's so funny though 😁
That was a funny episode!
So, Donald, make the compromising suggestion, already. We were all waiting for it. :(
Screaming and running around like he's going to attack her when all he's doing is standing there!!!!!! She does a good job of playing an idiot!!!!

Man what on earth are you talking about. That creepazoid was hitting on her. He even admit it that he likes ladies who are hard to get.
"I don't want to be nailed in the bedroom.". So, where would you like to be nailed? An obvious follow up question.

Best line so far
Wondering, if she was worried about him being in the apartment, why go to the door in her nightgown ? And walking around him with out a house coat on? 😂
With friends like Harry, who needs enemies?
I wish Bill Bixby had played the role of Donald in the entire series. Donald's all right, but Bixby was always so winning and fun and charming. He had a certain "something", maybe it was charisma, that made him appealing. And a little pet peeve of mine: The prerecorded audience laughter and reactions got tedious very quickly on some of the 1960s programs. In particular there's a "shock" gasp sound here-- used at least *four times* in this episode-- that studios kept including over and over in shows. It was thrown in when they felt that viewers would need to understand that something bad might happen soon (and that says so much about their view of the television audience's intelligence). They even piped it into the occasional episode of "Jeopardy!" in the 80s/90s and beyond. You've gotta love show-biz, even when it's inane. 😄 Reminds me a bit of Lucille Ball's mom's little "Uh oh" (originally from the live studio audience) from the 1950s that we heard once in a while on other sitcoms in later years.

Bill Bixby was very appealing and had already had a starring role in his show, My Favorite Martian. Since it was Marlos show, she needed a slightly neutral boyfriend, playing straight man to her comedic whiles and whims. Bixby would've stolen some of her spotlight.

Marlo was dark haired and with her coloring and eyebrows, etc she would have looked bad as a fake blonde. There were so many blonde bombshells and characters on TV and movies then ... she was a refreshing change. Like a raven haired Barbie doll.

A rather lacklustre episode. Fine for a 17th century French farce, but even for the late 1960's, a bit outdated. Then again, the sitcom Three's Company came along a few years later, based almost entirely on gender situation misunderstandings, and it was a huge success. Just saying that for a That Girl episode, this one was sub par.
