"THAT CHANGED THE FACE OF MOTOCROSS!" HANGTOWN MX REWIND / Bubba's World w/ James Stewart

Did we just witness one of the best rides of all time?! Round 2 of the Pro Motocross Championship provided some incredible racing across the 4 motos and had plenty of surprises in both classes. The things that held Chase back last weekend in Pala actually played in his favor this weekend and the opposite goes for Jett. James breaks down the bike setups in detail of both the KTM and Honda, and what Jett was doing on the first lap going for the jump which ultimately ended his win streak at 24-0. In the 250 class Deegan went out and dominated but Vialle was able to capitalize on his mistakes in moto 2 so what does this mean moving forward?
Sit back people, you're in Bubba's World now 😎

That was a cool ride by chase. Looked like he did when him and eli destroyed the field 2 yrs ago. The kid is fast af. Imo he brought his mental game this last weekend. That version of chase has proven very difficult to beat no matter who hes racing. It will be really cool to see if he can carry this attitude into the rest of the races. If he does, it'll get interesting with him and jett. This verision of chase can beat jett heads up.

I agree. In 2022 outdoors, Chase had the best handling bike and was an absolute weapon every single moto. We haven’t really seen that version of him outdoors in two years now. I somewhat disagree with JS7 on if Chase has more speed. I think the KTM can be dialed to an extent that going the pace he did last weekend is much smoother. His speed on Honda looked effortless. He will get there with KTM, but it’s going to take time.

I was wondering if someone was going to mention the bump in front of the takeoff being bigger and causing the compression issue. On the title show DC mentioned they changed the track. If so then why did Jett not realize this and not try jumping it especially after a sight lap. This is a bit confusing, but makes me wonder why he/Jett did not realize it. He's usually pretty sharp!

Great insight again, I can understand different tracks affect bike setup week to week, so good info from one of the best at it, appreciate that break down. I don't know how I feel about the track change, that's an asterisk for me, not re the results, but just because one person can do something and others cant I'm not a fan of wiping or changing a section! I listened to T24 and DC explanation, as a track builder and built many trails and tracks, nature and features man built have a way of managing the risk if its built right, usually for me its peripheral things on the side of the track or around the tracks that are most dangerous and over looked. Life is about those that can and those the can do something, you don't change that unless its truly unsafe! Trust the process and skills of the riders to make the right decision for them. Otherwise we might as well all just play tidily winks! My understanding is track was worked on for weeks, it must have been approved before the round started, now if somethings dangerous because of multiple crashes or injury, that's one thing! But it seems one week, we don't have sections managed properly by personal and injuries occurred that had season and rider safety outcomes! Yet next week no injury on one section and until a team raises it, then something is done, so it cant have been something that stood out as a major risk factor to safety, because others weren't even going to attempt it! No excuse, but I disagree with the changes myself, the track was awesome, but the changes again created another topic of controversy and injury! You yourself James were the ultimate risk taker, its part of the sport, championships throughout history have been lost by brain explosions and a bad misjudgment at critical times! Its part of the sport, another reason that I don't think the track should have been changed. Anyways JMO, I know they probably think they cant win, one way or the other re decisions on this stuff, but its pretty clear, first week was bad management re personal, plain and simple, no excuses for that. This week to me an unnecessary track change! This is not about Chase or Jett, as soon as I heard that, I thought wth! This is an extreme sport its meant to be extreme, sometimes extreme means game changing techniques, like you bought to the sport, no one could or can scrub even today like you, what if they banned that during your time racing, to me that's what it equates to, they are already screwing up the whoops in SX, what's next!

I thought Chase needed to hang it out when MX started and he certainly delivered. Honda and KTM are still a bit off but I think Chase is a bit more comfortable than the Lawrence bros. I have to give props to JCoop for digging. Hope he keeps it going all summer. Great show!

I feel like Honda should give James some $ for figuring out what's wrong with their suspension setup....fricken nailed it...sees stuff and explains it like nobody else can... Of course love and James in the booth as well... She needs to be there full-time for both series

I think Jet said they had a bike change he forgot about ? Musta been the rebound. He runs alot of rebound thats how he hippity hops over everything. Faster you go the less rebound you need. Still think his excessive rebound is wild.

Vialle hates Deegs you can see the disdain in Vialle's eyes when Deegs speaks. He bottles it up and releases it on the track. He uses that hate for motivation. 90's style. They both have the confidence, going to be epic when they do finally meet up and battle it out on the track.

Chase going from worst to 1st in moto 2 looked like a vintage JS or RC crazy moto!! He was going absolutely balls out, and even tho his bike was all over the place and he looked like he was about to crash 1,000x he was so in the zone he dgaf! The way he passed Jett to put him a lap down was a straight G move too.....Chase hit em with the ole Luda "MOVE B*TCH, GET OUT THE WAY!" 🤣🤣🤣 I'm stoked for Chase, that was an epic ride

The last to first is what really changed things. Chase should have all the confidence in the world now and I think that's been missing.
