What a time this was. I was running Scott's non-profit With Arms Wide Open Foundation. My youngest daughter, Jazzy, was Scott's son, Jagger's, best buddy. Scott invited us to Dallas for this. I had airplane anxiety after 9/11 and the thought of getting on a plane terrified me. We took a looong train ride from Tallahassee to Dallas. We were up in a skybox during this show. For some reason I can't remember, perhaps due to the long train ride and little sleep, Jazzy had a temper tantrum. Scott came over and wound up giving her a piggy back ride. Later, we all went down to the field and the kids ran around on the astroturf. Three months later, we were at the Winter Olympics in Salt Lake. Scott wanted to bring kids who lost loved ones in the 9/11 attack to the Olympics, to give them a positive experience. During the Creed show which was broadcast on NBC, he brought those kids up on stage and sang Children Don't Stop Dancing to them. My oldest daughter, Jade (who's still friends with those kids) and I were at the foot of the stage, bawling our eyes out. Scott did that because he absolutely cared about others. He has always had a tremendous heart. Little known fact: based on what Scott told me when he asked me to step into his Cadillac SUV when we were having an event in Orlando for kids with the Orlando Magic to listen to the demo tape: Scott wrote Children Don't Stop Dancing with the intention that it be a duet for him and a well-known female singer for whom he was seriously crushing-- Faith Hill. Instead, Scott's sister, Amy, joins him briefly towards the end of the song. What a magical, yet painful, time that was. Say what you want about Scott and Creed, but I witnessed the truth: his heart is real and the world is a better place because he, and Mark and Flip, are in it.

I believe it. When the flint, Michigan water atrocity happened, Scott showed up himself and brought a massive semi truck full of cases of fresh drinking water. He didn’t have a huge camera crew, a hundred people with him, etc…it was just Scott, the truck, and a few people to help unload it. Can absolutely tell he did it out of care and not out of trying to get spotlight from it. Great guy in my book and I wish only the best for Scott and his family. You can thank social media and mainstream media for the fall of America. Sad.
Could you imagine seeing this after 9/11 as a terrorist I would’ve given up.

That was g-ddamn glorious.
Man, half-time shows used to be so wholesome
What's crazy is how a performance of this size and complexity went off without a hitch. Like even the dove at the end. Perfectly executed

@@daahsri Wrong. That's the studio vocal track being played over the live instrument performance. It's dubbed. Not saying Scott Stapp is a cheater, lots of vocalists opt for this in big stadiums because of the delay in hearing yourself.

Back when America was awesome and had spirit.
I remember this like yesterday. I was in 4th grade at a big Thanksgiving neighborhood party and people were in tears from this epic performance. Thank you Creed! Also, the transition form Higher to My Sacrifice was amazing!

Wow what a remarkable production! Better than most Super Bowl halftime shows! People don’t realize what a great live band they are !

I have watched this at least 6 times now. I wasn’t even alive when this happened but goddamn this is just so iconic. Such a snapshot in history accompanied with admittedly catchy music. It does make me weirdly emotional. Not only does the music have an emotional value but the context being 9/11 is just surreal. It undeniably influenced this halftime show & you feel the subtext
