Hey Rob - Don't know if you spotted a huge potential MCU link - Quantum bands (Nega-bands) = The Ten Rings *Shang Chi and the legend of the ten rings* - changed the rings into bracelets (bands) and had "The great protector" as the dragon (Makluans, Axonn-Karr, Space Dragons) Eon gave the quantum bands to the "Protectors of the universe" - they get their power from the quantum realm - which links into *Ant-man & The Wasp: Quantumania* Copies of the bands were made "The Nega-bands" which connected to the negative zone allowing Rick Jones and Captain Marvel (trapped in the negative zone at the time) to switch places which links into *The Fantastic Four* with the original 10 rings - they were said to contain the spirits of great warriors (protectors) - which could be used to bring in Quasar, Blue Marvel, Nova (Richard Rider), Thelius (link to *Eternals*) Eon is a cosmic entity linked to both Eternity and Yggdrasill which brings *Thor: Love and Thunder* and *Guardians of the Galaxy 3* into the mix meaning that this one shot comic has just connected most of the upcoming movie phase and provides a route for a group of characters to enter the MCU or its a tenuous red herring

I can see how this could play out. The Enternals had a civil war Mentor and Sui get busy have Eros and Thanos (figuring out how to reproduce) the Titans go nuts with it and over population sets in setting up Thanos' motivation stated in Infinity War.

Pre-Cosmic Energy Accident. All Earth Eternals could reproduce. And still could reproduce before the 2000s Retcon BS... These new stories are done by Lazy Writers who couldn't be bothered sticking to established Canon background.

Dude Rob you gotta breakdown Eternals: Celestia One shot that came out a couple weeks ago!! I think they rearranged the orgin of humanity and even the way the celestials came to earth! I would really love to hear you explain it cause I was left with a lot of questions after that comic, however it was still AMAZING!!!

@@brianmccann666 I’m not exactly sure how much they retconned but I’m pretty sure they mixed some stuff up, that’s why I want rob to explain it cause I’m not sure how much they really did change but I’m pretty sure they changed the way the humans were created and they changed the way the celestials came to earth, probably because like rob was saying they’re trying to make line up with the MCU more …. I’m not a fan tbh

Regarding MCU Thanos there is a really good novel that ties into the MCU and gives his back story, its called Thanos Titan Consumed.

I think it would be cool if the machine activated and Thanos was being brought back to life in the MCU at the externals end credit scene.

The Official Write Up says ... The Eternals have a Extremely Low Birth Rate among themselves, having one child every millennium or so. However those Eternals who chose to mate with Humans often have children much more frequently, although these children will not themselves be Eternals. Hence, the population level of the Eternals has remained very stable over the last million years.

The part about The Machine and pushing the button is straight out of Lost season 2.

As a Swede, I think that the name A'Lars is rather funny. Lars is a common Swedish male name, mainly popular around 40-50-60 years ago, so there's a lot of (mainly older) Swedes called "Lars", so this is to me basically "A Lars" XD

I love Thanos, massively my favourite Marvel villain (Though Dr Doom's not too far behind). Hope they find some way to bring him back to the MCU, even if its only in flashback/prequal movies

At this point if they brought him back it wouldn't matter unless he ends up being a variant closer to the comics...mcu did little to nothing as far as fleshing him out, the Eternals movie should have been the one to be released in between Infinity War and Endgame instead of Captain Marvel.

@@brianmccann666 I've read every Eternals series and the newer Eternals content is much better than the older content. When people talk about Eternals, they always prefer the Neil Gaiman run because it's much more accessible.

That issue was so freaking good, that build up man! As an old marvel comics reader you already knew but it was sooo good to read it clearly: *Eternals should not breed.* Why you ask? Answer: *Thanos.*

I don't think the Quantum Bands were merely ceremonial in that scene. They are probably going to be a relevant plot device down the line. Maybe they served as the catalyst for Thanos actually being born to A'Lars and Sui-San the traditional way. I wouldn't be surprised if it turned out Thanos has a natural weakness to the Quantum Bands for this reason.

I really like that ending.

We know that Shang Chi is a child of 2 universes: MCU and the universe his Aunty lives in. We know there are 10 rings of power and 10 Eternals. What if his 10 rings are actually the reforged power cores of the Eternals from Shang Chi’s aunt’s universe. They are a beacon calling out for someone or something. What if they are calling Galactus or his herald Silver Surfer who reside in the universe of I can imagine Galactus is the last Celestial of his universe because he ate all the others and now needs to feed on planets just to survive. If he finds out there is another universe full of Celestials he will come to that feast quickly.

I read "Eternals: Celestia" and does the new Eternals comics explain why Ajak and Makkari have new forms because this comic goes as far as to show Ajak's new form facing Avengers One Million or is the Eternals so obscure that the owners can change major aspects without explanation. Eternals: Celestia is my first Eternals comic, so I'm asking questions before continuing.

When the Machine resurrects an Eternal the Eternal has an opportunity to change their appearance. Ikaris tells Iron Man that it's normal for an Eternal to switch genders every few ten thousand years in the first issue of the new series.
