Ron Magers, principal anchor for ABC 7 Chicago and the dean of Chicago news retired on May 25th, 2016. He spent 35 of his 51 years in broadcasting in Chicago, the final 18 at WLS-TV. Presented here are the highlights of his final 5pm newscast, alongside co-anchor Cheryl Burton, meteorologist Cheryl Scott, sports director Mark Giangreco, and reporter Paul Meincke.
