To say that Sidney Myer has left a legacy is an understatement. During his time as President of the MSO in the 1920’s, he established and funded our free outdoor concerts.
In 2024, we mark 90 years since the passing of his passing, and also 95 years of free outdoor concerts by the MSO and 65 years in the Sidney Myer Music Bowl.
The MSO is honoured to be a custodian of Sidney Myer’s legacy, performing to around 30,000 people each year in this splendid venue.
