The violin is much more difficult to play than the guitar, but also much more metal if you can pull it off! :D

The speed and precision is really impressive. Especially the bassist that can take off and put on his headphones without missing a single note

Not afraid to look a little silly to hit those high notes. You really gotta open wide to let it out healthily.
Son of a Serpent, and now Anchor? Wow, this is great 😊😊😊
I've been thinking .... this band is insane ! New drummer is great, love his contribution on this album, cool parts!

One of the top 3 songs on the whole album. Just incredible. And Sal's vocals in this song are just AWESOME.
Stellar performance, and also a REALLY strong recording and mixing job. Those guys deserve credit too.
I am and always have been a huge metal head. Progressive metal especially. From about 9 years old until this year when my cousin showed me this album. I haven’t been able to listen to anything but them. My favourite band of all time as it stands right now. Thank you boys for a unique and surprising new style of music. I believe y’all are one of a kind

I was devastated when The Mars Volta broke up. Sad The Dear Hunter has been pending Act VI a while now. This complexity, everyone’s precision including Salvatore’s perfect voice, just sensational. Thank you for making 2020 better
This song will never get old. I must have heard this song at least 100 times within the last week and for a almost 10 minute song I feel like it goes but quickly when I’m getting into the song and just have anchor on repeat. I hope thank you scientist comes out with a 30 minute epic song because I feel like these guys have what it takes to pull it off and make it one of the best songs ever written and with the verity of instruments and amazing lyric writing I feel that thank you scientist can easily make one 30 or even 40 minute song and have everyone that knows this band will have that long song on repeat because of how beautifully written everything was. Thank you scientist if you happen to see my comment please let me know if y’all think that y’all would be interested in making a 30 or 40 minute epic song. I love this band so much and y’all keep up the amazing work!
that violin solo killed me
My favourite song from TYS. The mystique, the epicness, I just cant get enough of this!
I love the violins in this the really stand out
I love how the violin solo kick in at exactly 6:00
The greatest modern band.
That vibrato in the voice so naturally and smooth is addicting to listen to.
I'm grinning like an idiot. This is just SO good. Thank you for making such wonderful music
One of the best songs I've heard to date. It's got that cosmic vibe I yearn so much in music. Gives me that alone at a stormy sea feeling.
Truly one of the best albums of all time, and an excellent Live Session.

Loving the jazz face on the drummer!
I love how clearly you can hear Cody’s amazing bass lines in the live recordings. They’re so tasty.

Wow. Even though I've heard the album version many many times this still gives me the goosebumps for how amazing it is.
I had to listen through twice when I found this. You guys killed it, and that room/the mix almost give an "unplugged" kinda vibe in some parts. I can't wait to catch you guys in Seattle again, or maybe while I'm out east this fall.
thank you so much for osu's feature artist program for introducing me to my favourite band!
Incredible! Love it.
Love the punchy sound of this

Astonishing performance
One of my favorite TYS tunes.
Fantastic band.

Without a doubt my favorite TYS song. Keep killin' it guys!
What an absolutely fantastic performance, take a bow! Stellar musicianship!

Favorite song on the new album fantastic songb keep it up
That Demilich shirt though. 😍
Oh man this hit hard! Absolutely stunning guys! 🙌
Holy shit, I can't wait to see you guys again in Chicago.
These guys are so good that it's genuinely upsetting to me. Like I can't handle it. I've listened all of their albums on repeat for like 8 months straight, and I can't stop.
Musicianship at its finest
Just found out about you guys and I went and back logged ALL of your music. I am digging everything your guys are doing, and honestly this is my album of 2019! I cannot wait to hear more of Thank You Scientist.
Could listen to that solo 1000x over
omg! you are doing fantastic job on this record)
This video blew my mind.
God. The BASS is so thick. I love it
First time heard you guys. You have a new fan.
Just awesome - jazz folks listen up.... killing stuff guys
wow amazing
This is one of my favorites of your music. Thank you for gifting us a live video! Also, hype rant incoming: I found you guys by chance while preparing for exams and, let me say, your albums are FANTASTIC in and of themselves, but especially for working on geodesy and mapping finals! Some of your lyrics are wonderfully appropriate! I could not resist having the entirety of Maps of Non-Existent Places on repeat while processing and drawing a topographic map of a quite existent place. (Also, I appreciate the vulnerability present in so many of your songs. Son of a Serpent was especially powerful to me.)
This is the definition of satisfaction in my opinion.
Do Everyday Ghosts next 🤟🏻🤟🏻
What a masterpiece!!
astonishing, great band, love them
INCRÍVEL! INCREDIBLE! I am impressed! All this talented artists working together to build a perfect music. I love your band since 2017. I am listening from Brazil ^^
My favorite song, I really enjoyed the performance! I've been listening to you guys for about two years and this is the first time I see you all play. I also didn't know it was a violin solo, that blew my mind!!
Love the sound of the vocals at 3:33.
I just saw these guys in a Fairfield CT (NYC sold out so I shlepped it to CT from downtown Manhattan). SO WORTH IT. I’ve seen them four or five times now. Sal’s vocals have improved and sound great here. So happy these guys are around. Such positive energy and excellent musicianship
I thought this title said "live at bathroom" at first glance and that sounded completely normal because it was TYS
Checked this out after Tom's collab on a Ben Levin video, and holy fucking shit, wow. It's like halfway between Tigran Hamasyan and Coheed and Cambria, but very much its own thing. And the lush strings, how locked in everyone is, I just love this.
What can I do to convince people to listen to you? I have been trying to get my friends to check you out for a month now, but they keep saying "i DoNt LiKe jAzZ"

It's an old style Analog Oscilloscope, probably from the 80s. They are normally used in signal analysis for electronics, but here it is being used to visualise the waveform from the guitar. Normally it would be set to a central trigger mode so that it would have a consistent look, here it's been set to be continuous, so it isn't particularly useful for analysing anything but it sure as hell looks cool! You can buy one for yourself off ebay for pretty cheap. The more modern Digital ones aren't quite as pretty to look at as the older analog ones.
