I'm very impressed how much a single man can achieve in quality and regularity. It's wonderful if patreon can provide a "production team" so the channel would be realistic to maintain (with normal life).
Your insights into the weird quirks of English have been a treat to digest. Your work is fantastic.
Your videos have been very helpful with my character/accent work. Thanks, doc. Congratulations on a hunnit.
I am not surprised your channel is so successful; it is quite entertaining and insightful. Your work is brilliant and I am excited about the opportunity this next phase offers! I am not a phoneticist and English is my native language and you make it fascinating in such a remarkably humorous style. Thank you and good luck! 🤗
thank YOU Dr. Lindsey, it’s a privilege to watch the channel! well deserved 👏
Congratulations, Doctor!👍🎊🎉💐🎂👍

@@DrGeoffLindsey How lovely, thank you! I moved a few years ago for my PhD, so I sadly no longer have space for a turntable. When I do again, I'll get back to it. I've many more gems!
It’s only been a few months since I discovered this channel and Geoff Lindsey is already one of my favourite youtubers :)
Congratulations and thank you!
Congratulations! Thoroughly deserved for such engaging content.

just discovered your channel today. can't stop binging your videos. thanks for all the entertaining content!
Congratulations!!! 🎉 That’s really a pity Patreon isn’t available in my country, otherwise I’d be happy to join you there! But this announcement of yours is a good motivation to find out how to get around the restrictions, I’m sure there has to be a way

Could you use a VPN service to tell the internet you're located in a different country? I haven't done so, but I've heard that people do it to access streaming content that's not available in their country and to pay less for hotel/flight reservations and stuff. I wonder if it works for Patreon.

@@resourceress7 unfortunately, that’s the international payments that don’t go through, VPN doesn’t help in this case

@taylorizedfunster call your bank! If your attempted transaction declines, your bank will be able to see it! Let them know you are trying to make that international transaction, and they can approve the request to have you retry the transaction while you're on the line with you to make sure it goes through! A helpful little tip from someone working in banking :)

Over 30 years ago I played a language games with my son as drove him to Montessori School for 1st grade. Example - Use to, too and two in one sentence. I too do not have to much difficulty juggling two tennis balls

Congrats on the 100k subs plaque, Dr. Lindsey! I'm looking forward to the Patreon although I would hold off on making the Discord until you're able to figure out how it works or can hire someone who does. It can be overwhelming to try to figure out with a bunch of people already joining.

Congrats doc, I always enjoy your videos and I'd like to think I've learned a lot from them. I'm not able to donate at the moment, but when that time comes I'll be considering joining your Patreon.
Thank you for your videos Dr. Lindsey, they've all been very enjoyable and lovely to watch. Here's to many more milestones!
I very much enjoy your channel, Geoff. Raised in Portsmouth (Hants) but having lived in North Carolina for the last half of my life, I get it! Maybe one day you will do a video to explain why my name (John) when pronounced with a SSB accent causes so much confusion. People often think I am saying "Joan" or "Joe" or "Joel"...
What? Only 100k subscribers?? You deserve more!
Your videos are always really interesting. They make me think about how I speak English and they help me better understand German, which I'm trying to learn. Congratulations on the Silver Play Button!
Congratulations! I love your videos and drop everything to watch the moment a new one is published. I would love to join your Patreon, if you offer an affordable tier!

no need to apologize man, thank you for the time and effort you put into your vids!
That's really cool that you edit your videos yourself, I did assume you had at least an editor! It shows that you're a great KZreadr as well as a great academic
Wow, I remember having exactly the same JBL speaker. It had an old 30-pin connector in the middle to attach an iPod.
As a native english speaker your videos have been very interesting, showcasing things that i do without knowing that i do them.
Congratulations on the milestone, surpassed easily now. More growth and success to come. Well-deserved. I have found your videos interesting and informative and truly I had only a passing interest in phonetics.
Congratulations. I love learning about this kind of stuff and you make it better.
Congratulations! And it's fun to see a more casual video once in a while, so thanks for that.
Congratulations from Cologne, Germany! I really love your lessons on pronunciation 🌺
I'm very much interested in becoming part of Patreon! Your contributions have been so helpful!
Extremely well deserved. We'll raise a glass to you and the channel!
Every time I get a notification for a new video on your channel, I know I’m going to enjoy the next 10-20 minutes. As a linguistics student I find your (especially phonology /phonetics videos) very entertaining but at the same time very enlightening. Can’t wait to read English after RP, the uni library said they will purchase a copy:) Thank you, wish you and your channel great success
Isn’t it nice to have been at the beginning of what becomes a big channel; to feel like you helped to build that growth; to have had the chance to interact with an excellent content creator before his channel grows too big to respond to comments? I for one appreciate Dr Lindsey’s replies to my comments on his earlier videos, his genuine interest in what the viewers had to add to the conversation. But this channel definitely deserves the growth it’s had. Such high quality and fascinating content for a one-man-show. All the best @Dr Geoff Lindsey!
Congratulations, Geoff! Looking forward for your next book edition and your Patreon. As a side question, would you be willing to reveal what's the model of your camera? Your videos are not only great in content but also in visual quality.

Thank you! I used to use a Canon DSLR and a 28mm lens with slow, noisy autofocus. After watching a lot of reviews I switched a few months ago to the compact Sony ZV1. Amazing and convenient little camera.
ever since I first became interested in linguistics, I've been wanting a high quality linguistics youtube channel, but I could never find one. i'm so glad your channel is seeing all this success recently!
It's so cool, and so high-quality, I'm not a native speaker and you explained so much about pronunciation, it helped me a lot and was pretty interesting, I love your storytelling style and really good video structure, like REALLY REALLY good, y'all do very great, thanks Also, I'm really into dialects and all this stuff, and your team is making unique (with this level of quality) content, so I'm your fan
Congratulations on your 100k! When you’re all settled in your new house and you run out of subjects, could you shed some light on why people pronounce exit like eggsit and etcetera like exetera? I always wonder about that when I hear it.
It seems to me that you have taken up new residence. Good luck for your upcoming videos! It is I, Maynard. 👍👍👍
I have been enjoying your channel ever since your collaboration with Simon Roper. Unfortunately I cannot possibly support you on patreon, due to being stuck with my Russian bank account, but I'm sure this milestone is not the last in your career. And congratulations!
