Last time (January this year) I also went to the same place you went but I was told I had to go to mall Lak SI for short-term visa extension (from 45 to 75) but yeah this information can change :)

Can you not get short-term(one month) visa extentions still at Lak Si? Also, can you pin this location for people to show to taxi drivers? I know this helped me when I had the location pinned and / or in Thai.

Hi, Im travelling to Thailand next Month, I'm a Canadian Citizen, Canada has a Visa Exemption: "The Visa Exemption rule allows tourists from 64 countries (Canada is one of them) to enter Thailand without applying for a visa. Travelers can visit Thailand for up to 30 days if they are entering Thailand through an international airport or land border checkpoint from a neighboring country." "The exemption is granted at most twice in a calendar year when entering over land or via a sea border but there is no limitation when entering by air." That means that I can enter Thailand many times? Here is my case: Im coming to Thailand. Will spend 3 days in Bangkon then flying to Bali x 5 days, then coming back to Thailand(Krabi) and other places for total of 3 weeks... So... if Understand well, I dont need to apply for any Visa rigth? I can just leave Thailand and come back as long as Is not more than 30 days...?😬 so hard to understand those rules

No you don't need to apply for anything or pay for anything extra if that's your travel plans. However it would a bit cumbersome to be entering Thailand twice within such a short space of time

You are limited to just 3 entries by airports every 6 months You can’t enter at the fourth if you try to do it

Good, as usual buddy. Curious about rush hour; 7-9am. What about evening rush hour? Let me verify what I believe to be the deal. 60 day tourist visa & extension for 30 days @ 2k baht /$60. I forget how much initial 60 days cost. Let me know if I got it right.👍🇹🇭 1 month Chaing Mai, 1 Bangkok, 1 an island off the peninsula; Don't know which, probably less touristy.

Or, rather than wasting an entire day, you can hire a Visa agent to get the extension, visa conversion or re-entry permits... Its not that expensive.

Hi there Arsen! Thank you for always updating us about Thailand. I have one confusing query though, and you should be the best one to solve this doubt. I have a return flight from India to Bangkok and meantime I will be visiting Vietnam as well. My Thailand visa type is tourist single entry visa. And I have booked flight from Vietnam to Bangkok at the same day I’ll be departing from Bangkok to India. So my layover is about 6 hours in BKK airport. I’m an Indian. 3 train transfers and a 15-minute walk?? Kinda the harder route! I would rather just stick with the BTS and an 80baht taxi. Faster with just 1 train line, and convenient with no LONG walk.

Do I need proof of onward ticket to show?

You can take the bus 166 from Victory Monument that brings you directly to the door of the Government Complex (22 Baht). And as it is 1900THB for extension it can be cheaper to go to Cambodia from BKK, and you will now get 45d instead of only 30d extension on return.

How long will he be here...???.I call that hospitable, based on the motto, you are all cordial welcome but not too long and not too often. Hospitality and fair prices for your guests is a matter of honor here.

If you want to avoid being treated like cattle in Thailand, pay an agent to all of this for you. Avoid all forms of group tours and mini vans. If you can afford it of course.

Before you leave Thailand you have to go and make a re entry stamp which will cost you 1000 baht for one time. And yes after that you can go and come 1 time accordingly
