You need to carry either usd or thb equivalent to 10000thb Although visa is free but still they can ask you to show funds on immigration counter

Yes, Currently Thailand is giving free visa till 10 may. It might be extended but there is no official notification as of now.

Not sure, The free VISA notification is no longer present on the official website, so I would suggest you to prepare for VOA formalities at the airport. Take 2000 thb cash to pay VISA fee, in case visa is not free. Let me also know if the visa is still free or not after your trip.
