The first few days of our Phuket trip, just happened to be Songkran. To put it simply, its the worlds biggest water fight and water festival. The traditional meaning of Songkran was meant to see the Thai New Year before they moved to a more western calendar (some time ago now). But the tradition of dowsing anybody and everybody you possibly can in water remains hugely popular across Thailand to this day, So we thought why not mix with locals, and Thai culture and dive head first into Songkran 2024!
