Dressing monks are nice.plz monk should avoid cigarette, egg, meat, alcohol, married and luxury life. Buddha said if you don't have any food to eat then you can eat meat. This comment is from the land of buddha lumbini nepal.

So he is naked under this? When it is all tied, he can just let go and walk freely?

Re: naked underneath. It's possible, but many Thai monks wear an angsa (small shoulder cover) as an inner layer, in addition to the sabong (lower robe). You can never truly let it go and use the left arm freely. The left arm keeps it secure at the armpit and wrist. After a few hours I typically need to tighten my roll up again. Monks will typically just wear the angsa and sabong only for anything physically intensive. They will put on the robe (jiworn) like this only for ceremonies inside the temple, eating, maybe formal classes, and greeting guests.
