What I learned today: 1. You can't be average AND make your dreams a reality 2. If you want to get paid never say 'No', never say 'it can't be done' 3. If you're average you're going to be outside with everyone else 4. An entitled mentality can stop you from doing what needs to be done to get what you say you want 5. How does a person learn four or five languages in four years? Because they had to to avoid being average 6. Work so hard that you can't get played or work so hard that you get paid =) Thanks Dr ET =)

I am a pre-med student who sometimes wants to give up, then I listen to Eric Thomas and keep pushing.

Love from India ..And in here they do teach English to almost all schools and in India almost everyone knows 2-3 language. So the guy that you are talking about must be familiar with 7 or 8 languages. Amazing ..

Because you have to! The only way forward. I have a small proficiency in four/five other languages and have never followed through on mastering any of them....because I didn't have to. Lately I've been trying to find the key to becoming more valuable in the areas that I'm pursuing and this is it. And now I understand that I have to! Thanks ET.

ET, this one sunk home. I've recently been debating myself back and forth on learning my third language just because of the struggle involved and the tedious studying it requires. The story you shared resonated. It reminded me of my "why" once again. Thanks for igniting the flame. Forte Abraço!

I taught myself French in a year. Study a few hours per day. I have NEVER had to use it in work either. Shame.
