I'm not a good programmer, and I've never programmed a game. But if I would have to guess it would be that the game cannot track where the projectile is going. So I assume that the game has to stop the projectile for a second to destroy it. I figure this the same way projectile aimbots work. The aimbot has a hard time tracking where the player will be when the projectile will reach them. I could be wrong though.

he meant that delfy did not report this glitch, he just promotes it. sigsigv was the person who found out the glitch 1 month before the video was made and sent the email to valve including a detailed description on how to fix this glitch. But valve didn't ship the update for a while because a comp league was taking place, and they decided to ship the patch along with the comp medals.

lag compensation. when the game does lag compensation, it teleports the player's position back by 100ms, see's if the projectile or bullet hit, then teleports them to their present spot. only with the short circuit, it doesn't teleport them back, causing a lag effect.

When lag compensation happens the game teleports the players back a few seconds in time. For some reason when the short circuit does this the game forgets to teleport them back. There's more to this but you can watch sigsev's video.

Makes me remember an old bug on Team Fortress Classic, where you could block this exact same door (well, it looked different, but it's the first door of the 2Fort spawn), but since you receive constant damage by blocking the door, it would eventually kill you, unless you have a friendly medic around.

It can be rather chaotic with 12 vs 12 for the causal play, but if you find decent players to play with it can be quite enjoyable. If you are good at Overwatch, those skills and game-sense should transfer over quite nicely.

The engineers just go around spamming the short circuit and It makes it near impossible to aim. Second of all, it's definitely nicer to not have to leave a game and go into a new one, especially when there's a chance of someone doing the same thing in the next game. It's just super annoying.

The Game wasnt lagging the engineer made the short-circuit so powerful the world couldnt handle the power of this weapon and stoped for a second.
