This gun is just one big missed opportunity. I don't see how it's viable at all outside of jokes with friends. - It should have been able to store shells for later - It should keep the speed increase at lower health - The spread should get smaller when you take more damage, not bigger - To balance some changes only happen at REEEEEALLY low health

It is like the Beggar's in that neither can store shots. It's worse because a) it's a shotgun and not a rocket launcher and b) you can't do crazy jumps with it like you can with the Beggar's.

*****​​ Well you can dish out 240 pellets all doing 18 damage in one second. You load up and do it again. At close range you can kill 2 or 3 scouts or spies in one blow. Now I even think that the Panic Attack is viable in the actual game.

***** I think it's viable. Look, you can ambush Heavies and kill them in one barrage. When you reach the Heavy at point blank range, each shot is going to deal 90 damage. 90×4=360 damage, enough to kill a Heavy. You can't do that with a normal shotgun because it fires much slower. I even MGE'd (1v1) someone today and won. I had the Panic Attack, they had the shotgun.

If you didn't know, that was the same issue with the soda popper before they turned it into the gimmick weapon it is. You can store up minicrits when you needed them and destroyed anyone in 2 shots. This included heavies and other tanky classes.

Jeff Jeff It still has a much faster firing and reload speed and it doesn't have the annoying knockback of the force-a-nature. In my opinion, the soda popper is a really good weapon even without the minicrits.

This weapon is actually useful for Engi's who don't turtle their sentries. Also, not every weapon is meant to be practical, or really good to use. Alot of weapons are meant for fun. Weapons like the Panic Attack, Sun on a Stick, Holiday Punch, the Rift Fire Axe, or the Pomson, are all weapons that aren't particularly good, but they're meant to have fun with. Panic attack is one of those weapons, where its not for try harding or comp playing, but just meant to be fun, which is what TF2 is for. Fun.

If he were to go on what people seem to have an opinion on, it would be such a shittier channel cuz they can't make up their mind about what they think Star thinks about something. +50% firing speed Load up to 4 shells Release attack to shoot them Reload speed increases as health decreases Can hold shells indefinitely, but accuracy starts dropping with the 3rd shell (caps at the '6th' shell, even if only 4 are allowed in normal play) Now this would be a true shotgun sidegrade. Why is everybody claiming that panic attack=tf2 dying. Remember sun on a stick? Lol? Remember how tf2 is the 3-4th most played f2p game on steam? No? Remember how it is 7 years old but it's still worth more than other games at it's age? It will die, eventually, but right now it's just badly treated by valve, with a team of 6 teenargers (pipeline amateurs) and a poor graminoid (the potted plant), low budget etc. We can't expect updates as good as WAR! anymore... maybe not even after the alleged source2 port.

***** Well it's pretty much confirmed, except that some of the leaks were for end of the duck update, not EvsS (like the gun that can shoot while cloaked- that was the grappling hook; a journal required for participation, which was the duck shit etc) i hope they don't screw up. spy will lose. calling it right now. altough with how many cancer noob engies that build at spawn and never turn around are on servers, i wouldn't be surprised if spy mains that played tf2 for 3000 hours, with 2700 on spy would make spy win.

You're completely ignoring the fact that the game has been out for 9 years. It seems that the developers either do not have enough man power or do not put enough effort into the updates; every major update in recent memory has been either terrible or inane. If the major draw for this game becomes the economy then the joke about how this game is a first person hat wearing simulator will be more true than anyone could possibly imagine.

I totally agree with you, You crealy see how valve doesnt put the same effort on tf2 as in other games like dota or cs, We were introduced this beta game mods and maps like asteroid and it was supposed that they would finish them but they are still in beta, without textures.

Sure, there are always perspectives that can be used to say "This update was bad" but to claim they are terrible and inane? Jesus Christ, Valve decides to end the weapon drought this year and finally gave us weapons along with new beta game modes for us to test and send feedback, and now the issue is that the weapons are bad weapons, the maps must have to undergo a beta and must imply that the TF team is lazy, and thus the game is going down a shithole. When you have an old game like TF2 adding shit while making stuff balanced is quite hard to do. The beginning was great because they were adding onto a blank slate. Now, there's too many ideas and it makes sense that we're going to see less and less of them. Also, Steam stats tell a completely different story. TF2 is still one of the more popular games to be played, and showing no signs of dying. I'm sorry, but I'm frustrated at people yelling "dead game" because I've noticed that these very same opinions would have had you murdered by the community prior to End of the Line.

Panic Attack is just another MvM weapon. It joins the ranks of Phlog, Natascha, Fan of War and other shitty weapons that nobody actually uses without MvM upgrades.

The unfinished map vibes from this map makes me nostalgic for these days of tf2. It just feels good remembering the good times when it was available to play. Makes me remember the fun times on rd_asteroid too.

MAN This video was awesome! It's just like the good old times! Like some of those videos you made 3 or 4 years ago! I just love it when new things have a very old and nice feeling to them!

Why is this the one STAR video youtube keeps recommending me? I just find it funny because this couldn't possibly be more irrelevant. The gun has been reworked like 3 times after the video, Cactus Canyon has stopped development. and worst of all, star doesn't even play the game anymore

I forgot what the panic attack did back then.

And now after Tough Break, instead of being disgustingly bad, the Panic Attack is disgustingly good.

This was one of the most amusing videos I've seen in my life. The despair is... palpable... I love it.

I really liked this video! Keep up the good work Star_! Even though i didn't get such a vibe from the video, if you are indeed bored of TF2, a lot of people - including me - will continue to follow your videos regardless. The reason why i found this video interesting to watch had more to do with how you play and react to the situation than the game itself.

It was nice to see a gameplay with the panic attack directly compared to one with the regular shotgun and proofs my guess on the biggest problem with this gun (haven't got the chance to try it out myself, yet): it's basically a secondary weapon meant to be used as a primary since you always have to have it out and reload to shoot. Not like the regular shotgun where you switch to it at shoot right away in case your rocket launcher runs out of ammo or so. And something to the people complaining about how bad star_'s videos get cause he's bored of tf2 or whatever: don't know about you, but at least in this one it somehow seemed like he had some fun playing....

I kind of wanna see more than tf2. Don't get me wrong STAR_ still likes the game somewhat and its my favorite game ever. Honestly, Tf2 is dying......for the channel. In my opinion he should take a break from the game so he can be refreshed. Playing a game for 7 years....I understand him

Moore Sure, I totally agree with all you wrote :D It just annoys me how seemingly everyone whines about how tf2 is dying in general or how bad STAR_'s videos get cause he sometimes sounds bored or whatever people are complaining about. Personally I'd just like to see videos from STAR_ and/ or Jerma about the new weapons (like this one) how they made for I think every previous big update and new weapon. But except for this I don't really care about what games they show us. They make everything hilarious^^

I actually found this video enjoyable. More so than some of his past tf2 videos. He was more excited (be it positive or negative excitement) when something outrageous happened, and it made me laugh each and every time.

I'm going to be honest even though he was clearly getting bored of tf2 I still relish this content

TCELES B HSUP or claiming TF2 is dead because an update didn't add stuff they want anymore. New hats, what about guns??? New guns? They suck. New game mode? Too unpolished. And can't forget the people trying to tell Star that he's forcing himself to do these vids.

You have to take charge because none of the other soldiers or demomen have the brainpower to spam. So if you're playing some sniper or scout you have to switch despite the fact that there are already 3 soldiers on your team all simultaneously doing nothing.

When I first saw the description of Panic Attack, I thought it wold be cool. Then I used it. The fact that you HAVE to load the shots before you fire it and you HAVE to fire it after it loads ruined the whole thing.

The power of the Panic Attack works well for pyro. If you're a sneaky behind enemy-team pyro you can follow people around on low health, load up your bullets, and if you don't miss, you can kill them in a second or less.
