    Hot take: Friendlies dying is actually what makes friendlies so hilarious in the first place. The whole idea that you can party and dance with the enemy team with the chance of getting blown up into high hell isn’t so common in other games than it is here. That’s what makes being friendly enjoyable, it’s as funny as the killbind but with collateral damage

  • @itch433

    It's kind of common sense, idk why Voro keeps trying to paint the picture of the community looking down on the friendly killing or smth. Friendlies die all the time and it's what makes those rare moments of truce special when a friendly finally manages to convince a fellow enemy to do some weird quick fps comedy. Like I get that there are even rarer moments of entire servers going friendly and kicking the ones who break peace (because kicking players for stupid reasons is also funny), but realistically most mass friendly situations result in some projectile class blowing them all up because that's the punchline.

    Here's a hot take: Pyro is not braindead. The class just has a few easily-abusable strategies which lead to easy kills, thus creating this 'braindead' stereotype.

  • @snakewithacomputer849

  • @majorassault5074

    @majorassault5074

    6 ай бұрын

    In my honest opinion, pyro is genuinely the worst class in the game. He is incredibly easy to learn and to start with, but his skill ceiling is really limited. Pyro gets instantly deleted by any burst damage class, even a scout assuming they're even semi-intelligent. The only class pyro really even counters is Demo and Spy, but even then reflecting pipes isn't easy and spy has many anti-pyro weapons like the kunai, spycicle, dead ringer, and diamond back. Sure he can stuff ubers, but so can any class with knockback. He is the worst class to fight sentries with, and even his airblast is essentially useless one a soldier just whips out a shotgun. Thats why pyro is most certainly not braindead.

  • @sosig6445

    @sosig6445

    6 ай бұрын

    pyro has a high skill cealing and i have nothing against good pyros and pyro mains. What i hate is that if a completely new player picks up ANY OTHER CLASS, you can just ignore them and focus on either the objective, or killing the medic or the strongest enemy opponent, but if they pick pyro because pyro class has an extremely low skill ceiling you HAVE to pay special attention to the gybus player because he doesn't have to aim unlike with any other class. and aldough they are just as easy to kill as any other new player UNLIKE any other new player they are highly likely to do significant damage to you forcing you to retreat. Fight a newbie demo, sniper or scout and you won't lose a single hp and can carry on focusing on winning the game. fight a new pyro and you get tagged by flames and loose half your health and you have to retreat, or you get killed by the next player who otherwise would have had no chance against you. Pyro makes new players int an attention vacuum, without putting any effort they get easy damage, easy kills and you are forced to treat them above their skill level.

    I think if the braindead players stop walking into the flames, and try to outrange the pyro that's running head first into a cluster of enemies, instead of complain, they'd die less also i learned through actually being better at aiming and tracking than my opponent pyros actually gives an advantage, so pyro isn't W+M1, you do have to aim to get more consistent damage, than just getting 1 kill and then dying after

    I like this series already. If I may drop my own take, I don’t much like the whole stigma against pyros, because yes, shocker, some of his playstyle takes time and practice to learn, as is the case for every other class. Airblasting arrows isn’t easy at all, and puff n’ sting requires that you get good with the flare guns. All that typically goes out the window and you get called a dirty w-m1 player

    I agree with the private profile thing. Some people just like to have privacy. I'm somewhat new to TF2 and I main Sniper. I've been using snipers in many, many, many games for over a decade now, so I know the schtick. But getting kicked for just being good at the game is so frustrating because what if you're domming half the enemy team and someone just says, "Kick your cheater. His profile is private." Now, I'm a F2P. I can't afford cosmetics, so I couldn't defend myself. Just know this. If your profile is private, that's your business. You just like privacy. I think Karens from the internet has spread their culture over to the youth and the TF2 community.

There is absolutely no reason for me to get angry at this game because most of the time, in any community sere I'm playing, I'm the one causing brain rot chaos in the first place. The next round I would kill this guy if he came near to me and then he got mad and tried to vote kick me, calling me a 'friendly killer'. After working a few jobs consistently for a year, it’s hard to maintain a skill level akin to those who are able to play almost every day and I’ll admit it’s super draining to get home from a long shift and try to hop on tf2 to relax just to spend the whole time looking at a respawn timer because one guy on the enemy team is playing like his family’s life is on the line.

    The one thing I don't understand is the "hot take" of people not liking random crits and apologizing about them. I'm unironically like this, because I don't like the idea that the game decides that neither me nor my opponent are allowed to use our skills alone, and we should expect to just die immediately instead. Even if the deal is that "you earned the crits by dealing more damage", it's still inherently random. Yes, you do earn more, but they're still not guaranteed, and are at least a bit too common in general anyways. The one way I'd be fine with it, is if they reduced the crit rate for ranged weapons. Melee weapons, maybe a tiny bit, but I _could_ see that being fine.

    What really pisses me of about TF2 are 2 things: Friendlies and That One guy who calls everyone a hacker. Look, i love being friendly and most of my heavy "gameplay" was just being hoovy, but there is a limit between being the only friendly and having an entire server being one. And the moment you just want to kill someone everyone gets mad at you and calling you out for "killing friendlies", like bruh. And don't get me started on that one guy. These guys, in my opinion, are the biggest idiots in this game. Like, nobody gives a crap about anything or anyone and you moron crying about something that might be true. Just accept the fact that you are not that good at this game and get your shit together. God, i love TF2 but sometimes i just want to play the game in peace.

    I find myself occasionally apologizing for crits. Generally I only do that if I accidentally disintegrate some spy or something like that, the kinda crits that make me laugh with how out of nowhere they are.

    Vorobey the father of tf2 ngl, he never cried when there were any cheaters or if someone reported him as being one. Its just so to watch everyone around him crying and him just laughing at them like he made that one good prank on his teacher on 1st april.

    Random crits should be deleted from the main game, and only be a mechanic in MVM, because robots dont have feelings

    random crits are funny and should be not deleted. If they hurt your feelings so much, you can quit a game / switch to a custom server.

    @@Bananchello i want to experience vanilla tf2, but almost all servers are NEVER vanilla, and if they are, they have no ppl in it, i know random crits can be goofy, but sometimes you just want to win a game, but everything you planned goes down because of a mechanic even who "used" it cant predict

    Печально то что по многим из этих причин я перестал играть в эту прекрасную игру. Было классно играть за инжа и оборонять точку, было здорово гонять за пиро-акулу и кусать всех ударом на целых двести двадцать вольт!

    hot take: the community ruined this game with dumbass memes and dogshit cosmetics to the point that tf2 is now only known for "pootis", friendlies that throw sandwiches and ruin the game and cheaters that ruin the game. The deep complex game design and mechanics is not the main focus of the game anymore.
