A baby shower is a celebration of their baby and relationship. You're celebrating the gift of becoming parents. It's not just some party. It's sentimental and signifies the beginning of a new journey into parenthood.....not showing up to your own baby shower is backwards

baby showers didn’t use to be this over the top thing for the parents to post online. It was female friends of the mother who threw together a little thing with baby games, food, juice and baby gifts. him not making it isn’t that deep but i guess it is for her and sounds like a build up of repetitive behaviors.

This. It was mostly for the women in your tribe to come together and support the new mother. Dad may or may not show his face for a couple minutes but it was basically a way to shower love, support, and gifts on my mom and baby.

I think men should get the same treatment as the mom And being at the baby shower he should be there Supporting and celebrating your blessings for your child should be both parents(if there’s two of them)

I’ve been thinking on this subject and i am convinced that Dads should be there and be involved. Dads have been removed from this tradition. The sooner we can get father’s involved in their child’s life the better. Its about engaging the father and holding him close to this child. We have too many disengaged fathers that do not feel connected so the sooner they feel connected the better. Just my opinion.

Guys get with the program it’s a new time ! Get with it !! Baby shower is not just for the mothers it’s for the mom and dad !! Why would a mother want to be at her baby shower alone ?!!!! I would feel stupid bc I didn’t make this baby alone !!! Both mom and dad should be there to celebrate their baby , love etc Getting ready for the birth of your precious blessing !!!! If a guy don’t see that being at a baby shower important then u pick the wrong guy . My opinion … males Need to get their head and views out of the 1820s

I disagree. I don’t believe the father has to/should attend. It’s a get together primarily for the mother to be to be around her friends and receive the gifts to help start them on their journey to parenthood. I could understand why a man/men would find it kind of boring. These parties are usually geared to the mom to be. Men can have their own function if they so please. But to each their own

Ya'll doing too much and finding new ways to start drama in your relationships. Its not that deep.. I wouldn't even invite my man. Couples these days wanna be attached by the hip nah, baby showers are a fun time with your girls and women in your life, acting silly and them giving you tips/advice. He can have his own thing where his boys bring him baby stuff and they hang out- I think its called a push shower this side.. Really not the deep.

If you're doing a gender reveal at the same time then yes he should be there for that part of it however it would make more sense to do that before the shower so folks know what to get you but for me it's being with my girls and we all telling our labor stories playing our games eating good and just loving being women together sisters
