You actually can put a topcoat over it!! It will still show the texture but will provide protection to the glitter, smooth over the top, and will make the glitter pop more!

Suzie, great minds! ;) I bought 5 different colors of glitter from Michaels about a week ago and did the exact same steps and it worked beautifully! By the way, Michaels has beautiful glitter for those who want to create this look. I was going to use glitter on all of my nails but decided to just do my ring finger using silver glitter - - talk about BLING!! I got so many compliments. I posted a picture on Instagram about 5 days ago. I'm sooooo obsessed with glitter nails! I'm definitely doing a nail tutorial using glitter.

Recollections is the brand name from Michaels. I believe you can find it on eBay but I'm not sure. I bought fine and super fine glitter.

I went to a new nail technician a few days ago and I got a pink polish with a unicorn chrome, the nail technician put on the polish but there was bumps everywhere when she was done, and she wasn't paying attention and she cured gel to my skin. She also applied acrylic to my nails to lengthen them and she glued on the nails crooked.

On the fingers she didn't put two coats on whenever it zooms in you can see the tips of her nails somewhat. Maybe it does need extra coverage at the tip or a second coat

Hey Suzie, my 13 b-day is coming up in a couple weeks, I LOVE doing my nails and I have over 120 nail polishes right now, u have inspired me to try to do my own acrylic nails so my grandma says that she can get me a set and my mom is getting me a real nail table to do my nails. I wanted to tell u because u were the person who got me interested into nails I started painting my nails in 2012 and have loved it since so thank u so much.💖💖💖💖💖💜💜💜💜💙💙💙💙💙 I do have a question though, I was wondering after the acrylic nail is on and dry do u have to use color acrylic to give the nail color or can u just paint it with nail polish??
