Loved this card! Just bought everything I need to make it. Question: the bottom white piece... is that the other part of the card you trimmed down? Or is it just slightly larger? Thanks!

Another question- What type of craft mats are good for doing this? I need to get one and maybe a gift for my mom.

I haven't tried embossing yet, but I got an embossing tool. I started getting some Copic sketch markers, but don't have Zig. Are these markers a water color marker? I believe I have some from stamping up. Anyway, my mom wants to get into making cards, but I don't think she's interested in doing a lot of coloring with things like Copic. I bought her some embossing powder and alcohol ink for Christmas. I think she would like doing the techniques like this one and it looks beautiful.

The Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers are water based making them perfect for watercoloring techniques! I'm not the best watercolor so I love these as they give me great results every time!

What is the grid you work on and where did you find it? Is it easy to clean?

Does this coloring technique work with Copics? Or just waterbased markers??

These truly are very, very nice cards...love the texture paste.
