Thank you for show both pastes. It was interesting how the embossing was different from one of the other. Something I didn't think about until you had shared the comparison of the two.
You are one of the best channels ever. You are so very knowledgeable and know how to teach and explain perfectly. Thank you for taking the time to share your expertise with us, and I can always count on your honest opinion.
What a thorough job you did comparing these two products. Your videos are great:: quick, clear, precise. Well done.
I see others using this type of product but wasn't sure how to use them. Thanks for doing the comparison. Great video and love the ring on your right hand!
Jennifer I always watch your videos. You are such a great teacher. Thank you for always being there for us all sincerely Linda
I'm a total beginner to using products like these, I'm a mum trying to help my daughter through some of her a level in art, and have been trying to find ways to add more dimension to her course work portfolio.I didn't even know about texture paste and embossing powders with stencils until a month ago, Your video is so clear and helpful. Thank you so much! Will deinately be watching more!!!
Thank you. It's a great video. I just bought the Ranger Texture Paste yesterday. Now I learnt so many uses of it with different colors and products and the results.
Thank you for taking the time to do this in-depth comparison, Jennifer! I have to be extremely frugal with my shopping, so I've never purchased the embossing paste as much as I want it. But now that I have a less expensive option (and I want to color my paste, too) I know that the texture paste would be the best fit for me. Thanks again :-)
I really enjoyed your video! It was so relaxing yet very informative. There was no need of loud distracting music. Loved it!
I am just getting started in mixed media. This helped so much. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks so much for your info! I'm often being asked by my customers (I have an Aussie online shop) which one is best or what's the difference :) So good to see that they're both equally high in quality and both useful to have to use. And because you've done this so well, all I need to do to explain is simply share your video! Yay :) Thanks again!
Good comparison of embossing vs texture paste and we all thank you for making the differences so easy to see depending on what one wants to do with them. Pretty all inclusive!
Thank you for doing this comparison. I haven't jumped into using any of these, yet, but this gives me a head start on knowing what to get!
Jennifer coloring the paste is so awesome. I will be trying some crafts with this paste.
Thanks so much for taking the time and comparing the two products....
Jennifer, what an incredible review. Can’t wait to try them. Thank You 🙏
Thanks Jennifer, I am using the Ranger's Texture paste for the first time. Trying watercolor paint on 1 and distress oxide on the other sample. Let's see how they come out. Thanks for all the very cool tips. You are the best! Have a great day and happy crafting!
This comparison was EXACTLY what I was looking for...as always...you’re my ‘go-2’ for all things artsy!
I have learned so much from your videos. I would have to buy both for the differences. I appreciate you for this video. I love to emboss, but I love how the color is better with the texture paste. I don't have either, but now I NEED both. lol
Thanks so much for the great info you provided---embossing paste vs. texture paste. I'm certainly not new to crafting -n-such, but a novice when comes down to these pastes. In one of Tim Holtz's demonstrations on YT, he mentions the textured pastes will become "puffy" if using a heat tool to dry. Thanks again for posting!
Stumbling upon your blog and videos has been so enlightening and educational. I look forward to all your videos and posts. Thank you Jennifer.
Love this video. You are great at getting to the point without being long and drawn out.
This video was extremely informative and helpful. You are my go-to gal on embossing paste techniques, for sure! Thanks so much for doing this product comparison.
Jennifer, thank you greatly for making this! It was well demonstrated and answered the questions I have!
Thanks so much! I just bought my first jar of embossing paste and I can't wait to use it! I love your videos!!! I learn so much from them.
Jennifer -- thanks for the comparison on the paste. You have answer most of my questions about the two products.
Thank you for all that information. I’ve seen video about texture paste but was extremely happy with your comparison of both. For my use I will be getting the texture paste.
Wonderful review I was wondering about the two products, wonder no more. Thank you so very much.
Thank you for always doing a fair and balanced review. I feel like I have a true handle on each product now and can make my decision based on facts, not just on what's new, trendy or a name.
You answered so many questions that I had regarding both! You did it so perfectly. Thank you so very much for such a helpful video!
Thanks so much for doing a video like this! I didn't know much about these two products, and now I do!
Thank you so much for doing this. I have several colors of embossing paste and now know that even though the Ranger product offers a few things that the others don't, I know that I do not need to rush out and buy another product.
Thanks for the comparison, I think I'll def be buying Ranger's version. I also appreciate you showing various techniques with these, I'm new to using mixed media on projects
I saw CHA videos of Tim using the product. He says you need to dry the texture paste for a few hours if you don't want the bubbling (overnight is best). Just like you said, it depends on what you want. If I want the deep colors of the inks, I'd use Texture paste. If I want to do something at a faster pace, I'd use the paste.
What a super comparison Jennifer. Thank you. I was ready to order the new Texture Paste and was wondering how they compared. Now I know!
Thanks so much Jennifer, this was very informative. I have used embossing paste for years but not tried the texture paste yet. It certainly does look like a matter of preference.
Uhm, when inking over the stencils (at 6:46 on the video), I saw a complete difference in how you applied the ink. On the embossing paste (on the left), you just pulled the tool over the top and rubbed it around a bit. On the texture paste (on the right), it looked like you really pushed the color into the paste. I think that pushing the color in would create a darker color. I'm watching this because I plan on buying some texture paste this week.
Very informative, such good information for those of us fairly new to these products. Very thorough, you covered everything that I needed to know. You were clear and concise and that made it easy to follow. Thank you for taking the time to show us and the care you took to make it a great video.
Ty for helping me make up my mind Jennifer! I'm going for the TP myself.
Thank you for comparing these as I was debating between the two. I like both of them also.
Thanks so much Jennifer for this product comparison. it is so nice o know the differences before buying; I appreciate YOU!
I never thought about using embossing powder to the paste. Great technique. 👍
I learned some interesting things in this review. Thank you JENNIFER
Thanks so much for sharing, that was a lot of great info. It helped me decide to try the Ranger Texture Paste.
Thank you so much jennifer for sharing your video. It was awesome. keep up with your great ideas. I liked them both. God bless you and your family.
Thank you again. I have been wondering about the difference in these. I didn't know you could color it!
Thanks Jennifer for your examples that helps a lot when I go to choose which one I want for which project and I also like both :) xxx
thanks for the comparison, did not know the difference. I agree that both are really good products. Had not thought about adding color after or heat embossing them. will have to give that a try
Very helpful. Especially for someone about to try these products for the first time.
Great video. Thanks for comparing the two!
thank you Jennifer a very through review and answered all of my questions
Thanks for the great comparison review! Very helpful & you're always a joy to watch & learn from :)
Great comparison! I am adding the texture paste to my cart. I have been trying to decide between the two and due to price the decision is made. Blessings!
Thank you! I just ordered embossing paste, which by the way, I could only find online, whereas the texture paste is available at Michaels and you can use 40% off coupon :-)
Great comparison, Jennifer. I hesitated to purchase the Ranger paste rather than the embossing paste but now I have the differences firmly in mind, I can make an informed decision at the craft store.
Thanks for the product comparison. Very helpful.
Thank you so much for your honest opinion on the pastes very good
Thanks for the comparison and the great tips!
This was very helpful... Thank you. My local stores won't carry these products so I better hit the online stores... Thanks for sharing.
I really enjoyed your video. It was very informative. I like that you showed different ways to use both products. I only have molding paste and embossing paste. I haven't tried using embossing powder with the embossing paste, but can't wait to try it! I will also be coloring my embossing paste with distress ink, what fun. I know I also want to purchase texture paste!
This comparison video is very helpful! Thank you.
Perfect review! You've answered all of my questions :-)
Thank you so much for making this video. I've been so afraid to use either. Now, not so much.
Thank you for doing this comparison on the paste, I'm like you, I like them both. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for the info. Now will have to go get some texture paste to try out.
Thanks Jennifer!! Great video and after seeing your awesome comparison, I now will be adding some Texture Paste to my stash. I really like how it is a bit whiter, I like how it takes color, but did not really like how it bubbles when you heat emboss it and since I have a stash of Embossing Paste I can use for that, I think based pretty much on value, this frugal girl is going to go with Texture Paste for pretty much everything but heat embossing!!
Thanks for this, quite interesting to see the differences.
That was so informative for a beginner like myself. Thank you xx
Thank you so much for this detailed review! You are so funny that you relate them to children! I may just have one child. LOL You had me cracking up! TFS Big hugs, Kristina
I love how the texture paste looked like bubble wrap with the Gansai. Great video, thanks :)
Thanks somuch for this overview. It really helped a lot!
FanTAStic video! !! I have texture paste...a bit actually...good to know I can save money when I begin trying out heat embossing.
You are such a big help! Thank you!
This was very interesting, thanks you did a great job.
Thanks for this...have wondered so long how to use and for what. I love your videos.
Fascinating! Tfs, I like both also!
Thank you for sharing your comparison. But I have been using wendys embossing paste and love it. Have had no problems with it , and would pay the difference just to get the better product. The colors are as deep as you want to apply. The embossing is much better. As ranger has some great products that I love, I have no desire to purchase the texture paste, when I feel I already have the best with wendys product. Enjoy your videos. . But this time I'm staying with wendys paste.
Great video very helpful! TFS! 💐
Great video! Thank you! ¡Saludos desde El Salvador!
Thanks for the product review; it was great to see the similarities & differences. We are a one child family so I guess I will have to stick with the embossing paste as I already have that ;)
this is a great video. I've learned a lot. thank you for sharing this!
Great information. Thanks for sharing with us.
Thank you so much for the excellent presentation of your review of these 2 pastes. I have both but just yesterday evening tried my hand with the texture paste and Tim Holtz' lovely floral stencil. Yup, I'm addicted. I went crazy. And then I colored some areas with the new distress crayons. Worked nicely. Glad to know they hold up nicely. Would you recommend topping the finished work with some kind of medium to give it more protection? TU again!
Very informative - thanks so much for this!
Thank you Jennifer for the comparison of the two powders. It seems to me that the Embossing paste smoothed out better with the glitter. the other one had some bubbles and pits. I agree that the Texture powder did take the color more. Like you said it just depends on what you want to create. Thanks pat
Thank you so much for the comparison.
Thsnk you for that information Jennifer.🌺
loved it... learned quite a bit.. I actually have never used anything like this...
I don't have embossing paste yet, as I'm still relatively new to this type of crafting, but I have noticed that the Texture Paste will "wick up" color from underneath. I often do an entire background in distress inks, and each time (whether it's dried naturally or using a heat gun), once I stencil Texture Paste over it, the ink will eventually soak into and color the paste instead of staying white. I've gotten some great effects this way, but I'm guessing others would count on it staying white. I'm wondering if embossing paste does the same thing.
Really great review!!
That was great jennifer. Thnx so much. I was all for the texture paste until the end with the embossing because I can't imagine using it without embossing it. Well, no, actually I am sure there are plenty of times I would just use ink. But anyway, thanks also for the price comparison because that is probably going to be my ultimate deciding factor. Plus I love Tim Holtz and all of his products.
Great video and comparison
Thank you for sharing, I have learned something I wanted to know, thanks
Wonderful video, very informative........Thank You!
Thanks for your detailed and very informational video. I think I'll like them both, too! ~Kris~
Very informative! Thanks so much!!
