When Im texting and driving I hold the phone close to steering wheel so I can see on the road (and its just like "yeah wait 5 mins I be in home soon" and then I put it away). But If you driving and texting when your phone is near shifter (so you cant really look at the road that mutch) then its really bad.

As someone who (I do confess) almost rammed his brand-new pickup truck into a tree while hunting for a playlist, I advocate against using your phone while driving. Put it down, and you could save your life, and everyone else's, too.
