Texas vs #1 Oklahoma Highlights | WCWS Finals Game 1 | 2022 College Softball Highlights

Спорт

Texas and Oklahoma played in game 1 of the best of 3 Women's College World Series Finals in the 2022 College Softball Season.
Covering sports in a unique way since 2018.
If you’re looking for a place that can educate you with commentary on top of high quality edits, this is the place for you! I’ve covered Baseball (MLB, NCAA, LLWS), Football (NFL, NCAA), Basketball (NBA, NCAA), Hockey (NHL), Softball (NCAA), and much more!
I make my videos on the HP Spectre x360. I use Adobe Premiere Rush to edit, which allows me to commentate and efficiently splice up clips in a high quality way.
One of my favorite accomplishments is revolutionizing the way sports channels create thumbnails. I started making them with team logos on the left, and a game snapshot on the right, and I’ve gotten almost all of my video views with that style.
I have a combined 4 years of experience as a Baseball & Basketball Play by Play announcer, which is where I learned my skills for commentary/breakdowns.

The NCAA needs to put in a run rule (I think 12 runs for the world series) for every non-elimination game is the WCWS. I know that's actually an increase before the championship series, but these are the best eight teams in the country. A little more leeway has been earned. Save the arms for the elimination games. No run rule for elimination games. Weird things happen when teams are facing elimination.

The championship series is the only games that don’t have run rule. OU ran ruled UCLA in the semifinals. Sometimes it doesn’t matter what the run rule is, back when I played it was 12/10/8 after 3/4/5, we played the Louisiana state champions in the national tournament and won 42-2 and that was before the 3rd inning.

You still would have won that game by that absurd score, but that's not a Division I college championship, now is it?

It’s not really a case of it being “allowed” as such. I have read that the crowds are bigger in Oklahoma, thus bringing in more revenue for everyone involved. Many sports have a Championship in the same place. Masters Golf always Augusta, Wimbledon Tennis always London, US Open Tennis always New York..etc..etc.. Most fans and players are not from these cities, but that’s just how it is. If playing it in Oklahoma brings in the most fans, and the most money, it just makes sense, though i agree in principle that it would be nice to give other places a chance, if they could come close to the same numbers 🙂

Other than softball (OKC) and baseball (in Omaha), is there any other NCAA sport that has their championship determined in the same location every year? If the NCAA wanted the biggest crowds and bring in the most revenue, they would put the CFP national championship and Final 4 in AT&T Stadium every season, since it can fill 100,000 people. But of course the NCAA doesn't do that and seeks different venues every season for the CFP and Final 4. This was one of the most boring championship series in Softball. Yes OU is extremely good but it's not fun to watch a non Competitive game.

They seriously need to move this tournament away from OKC to grow the game. It's just about impossible to beat Oklahoma as it is this season. Having it in OKC just makes it even easier for them.

How many Horns fans does it take to change a light bulb? 10: one to change the light bulb and the other nine to stand around bragging about how great the old light bulb was. Also a pretty bold statement talking about "chokelahoma" when Texas had the most points per half in the country at a couple points this past season and yet lost every one of those games.
