Texas always knows how to throw a party! Every year in Bandera, the cowboy capital of Texas, the town gets together to get into the Big Easy spirit. Normally a rustic frontier, this small town gets swamped with vibrant greens, purples and golds in honor of the iconic celebration. This year marks the 13th annual celebration at the famous 11th Street Cowboy Bar. The celebration takes over the entire town and includes everything from theatrical parades to a masquerade of intricate and colorful costumes. This cultural fusion of Texas and Louisianna is a one of a kind and brings in people from all over the state. So, next time Mardi Gras rolls around, make sure you check out Bandera!
