Wow!

Can't fault TPP for needing to make a profit as they have to cover a lot of cost for engineering, product research, testing, support, warranty, etc. That said, I thank you for this discovery. I plan to build a clone of the TPP system from scratch.

Anyone have a link for a speed controller?

Thank you for making us aware of options. Their "Blue Boat" uses two of these motors so I'm curious what only one will do on a kayak.

What are the end connections called that plug into the battery? I’m needing to order one of those

Do you think I can add that small yellow motor to the rudder on my Lynx or is it too heavy? Also where would I get the speed knob?

I have Lynx. Do you think the little yellow motor is better than the remora? Is the yellow one faster

Too many factors determine speed, like type of kayak, current etc. It's about as fast as using the pedals. A little faster than trolling speed

awesome thanks for responding, i am looking at the blue robotics stuff and realized i can just buy the modified rudder from tpp for $99 and the rest i can build from the bluerobotics website, is there anything else i would need from tpp besides the ridder mod?

I dont think it can do as fast as bigger throlling motor like newport vessel..now i m using nk300..it is more fun..everything there in term of speed

Agreed. It is discreet though, which may get one by any restrictions. Also, it being on the rudder means the steering is easy and very responsive. I don't know about the newport
