Welcome to the 6th episode of the Texas Plinking 1 MOA At 1,000 Yards Challenge. A monthly video series where I let 5 fans come out with their equipment and attempt to shoot a 10" gong at 1,000 yards in under 10 shots. If they hit it, they can use their remaining shots on the 5" gong. The 10" gong is worth 10 points and goes down 1 point after every shot. The 5" gong is worth 20 points and goes down 2 points after every shot. Once both are hit, the challenge is complete and each unfired round is an additional point. The winner of this episode gets a free RISE ICONIC 2-stage trigger. Let me know what you think of this new points system! New episodes go live on the 1st Monday of every month!

Great series man. I have a request. You shoot a lot of nice long range guns and we all enjoy it. I’d like to see you use a hunting setup and see if you can get it done. Good glass , quality rifle. I’m not asking for you to use a cheap deer rifle , but something less long range and more hunting would be interested I think. Thx for the great content ✌🏻

I kind of saw this coming with the I built this rifle crowd. Gun manufacturers know their stuff, bolting on accessories and shit not going to make the rifle any better. Practice and knowing your weapon daily is where it is at.

The point system is definitely an evolution to the competition. I think I prefer it to the original version, only because contestants are inevitably going to be much more proficient as you produce more episodes.
One of the few video series on yt that I truly look forward to each month. I didn't know it could get any better - I like the points system. And yes Brandon, .308 for episode 7 please.

I like the points system a lot, but would still like to see the shot numbers overlaid near the target like the previous episodes. It's nice to see how they work towards the target with the adjustments they are making.

Very cool challenge, the guy with the $600 Savage in 6 ARC was on fire.

Love this new points system. But you definitely have to get all the successful shooters in the previous system back to compare them. Would be kinda unfair to have a champion round if those previous shooters only had one shot at the smaller target. Be interesting to see Chad with his Mosin hit the smaller target

@@Allen338LMjust got a 6.5 creed. The research I’m seeing is, depending on the receiver, barrel, length, etc, bullet weight makes a noticeable difference across the board. I’m playing with 6.5 Creedmoor, 140 gr, 2675 fps, Sierra MatchKing BTHP. And Norma’s 130-grain Open Tip Match load in 6.5 Creedmoor.
This series really goes to show that even the fanciest and most expensive kit won't make you a good shot

Exactly. They should have spent $400 on a Savage Axis 6.5CM, about $700 on a scope, and the other $1000-4000 on ammo, professional instruction, and practice.
Oh my god, that Second shot hit on the primary target and then the First Shot hit on the sub MOA target was so clean!
First episode in with the point system and I think we've already seen the best score someone can realistically achieve!

I think this is the first episode I have seen where everyone hit the 10 inch plate. I think I like this point system format.
Love the new point system! i was so sad to see that guy miss the cold bore by a hair! Great shooting from everyone!
I never thought something like this would be so interesting. I wish I had a 1/32 of the skill that these shooters have. Keep em coming.
I watch a lot of gun related content on YT, but i gotta say, this series is the content i get the most giddy about. I dont even do long range shooting. Either way, great stuff, wish it was more often.
Love the point system. That was a HELL of a way to wrap up!! Killer shooting on everyone’s part! 🤘🏻🇺🇸🦅🤘🏻
Amazing show, and to be honest my favorite on KZread! The new point system is a keeper, and I can't wait for the next competition!
The point system is definitely the way to go moving forward. Gives it more of an "Olympics" feel to the whole competition! Love it!
Love this series. Reinforces how important the shooter is vs the rifle. I can convince myself I need a higher end rifle with all the accessories, but it would be better to put that money towards trigger time.
I really like this series because you can see different builds and it shows shooter experience vs price of the gun .
i love this series. always on the side of the .308 guys!
Love it. Idk about everyone else but I was heavily rooting for 2nd dude with the most basic setup

Perfect example of modern machining and cheap quality optics. Guy was hitting 1k yards with a 1k setup 👍🏼 Love this series!!!!
I'll say it again, I think this is my favorite thing on KZread. Additionally, I like the new format. Keep 'em coming. To all the shooters, heck of a job everyone. And Courtney needs to come back.
Episode 7, like the man said. .308. We all know you can do it. Besides id love to see your .308 setup. Love the new point system and this series, such a pleasure to watch.
This series is awesome. It is great to watch individuals challenging themselves, and their rifles. They all should be very proud of themselves , their gear and training levels. It was awesome seeing the 308 Win in action, especially with so many videos talking about it becoming inferior. It was also great to see the basic Savage showing its capabilities. Looking forward to the next video.
Good shooting everyone. I think some of the most impressive shooting was by the Arkansas guy with a nothing special 308 but I could be biased since he’s in my state. The lady done some good shooting as well. Really liking the challenge and waiting for the next one. 👍

I love this series! It's probably my favorite "show" anywhere on TV or Internet. And man, Brandon murdered the challenge with a new rifle?! FANTASTIC. This series motivates me to spend more time on the long range. (my last time out I was hitting at 1000 with a .308 and a spotter, but could only manage consistent shots at 800 without my spotter calling the wind)
I look forward to this video every week! I'm here cheering like a Brazilian soccer fan when you guys hit steel! This is awesome!!

I absolutely love this series. This tracking, point system and setup you have here is a masterpiece 🤘🏻
This is going to get REALLY big. Oh, shoot the next one with .308. I lived in Austin and was really active and recognize all your filming locations, makes me a little nostalgic. I shoot often and still have a lot of friends and family in North Austin so I go back regularly. Love this series.
That is a sweet rig you brought! I like the new scoring; it gives the shooters more to go after and a shoot off for ties
Congrats to all, nice to see everyone get a hit within 10 shots. I like the new points system

I really enjoy this series and the points system is a great addition to the challenge.
I like the points system over the original format, it keeps you holding your breath to see if the 1/2 moa will boost the shooters score :) I'd also love to see the desert tech srs a2/m2 make an appearance, I've been dreaming about owning that rifle for a VERY long time :)
I like the new points system and dropping the missed shots off the screen. Some great shooting there in what looked like tricky conditions.
Awesome love the new format, will be great to see the leader board become more competitive as more events take place
hell yeah Taylor bringing home a W with the r700 308
Another Falkor action! Loved it! LW7 is amazing. Got it same shot as me too! Awesome video again I like the integration of the point system. Makes it a lot easier to keep track of everyone throughout the videos and possibly to a larger invitation challenge for the top shooters. Keep it up!
I’m not into long distance shooting yet, but I look forward to these videos.

Thanks for the video! I like how everything was setup simple.
The new point system is rad! Love this series!
Need to make episodes every week. Love this show. Seeing the different rifles and their combinations and then their performance is awesome. One other point to bring up is that women can hang with the men in shooting competitions, no need for separate division.
Love the point system! Yes, you need to shoot a 308!
The new point system is great! I like how the table updated after each shot! Maybe can go back and assign points to shooters in the past episodes?
Really fun, kind of like the point system. Loving it.

The new format and point system is great.
Love the new point system. Looking forward to the next video. Shot out to the lady in the background motivating everyone.
Like the point system but also liked the shot count and location remaining on the screen as they shot. Love your channel.
Congratulations to the competitors. Yes sir, do one on 308 caliber.
Brings back memories, years ago I made a wrong turn after dinner and found a newly opened 1000 yard rage 7 miles from home. My old school 300 Win mag was based on a tuned Rem 700 long action, McMillion filled A2 with dampers and pillar bedding, proprietary barrel, Jewell trigger, and Leupold M4 I think. I shot Black Hills match. Pretty much king of the range until all the 6.5's started showing up.
Excellent show. I like the point system and don’t think anyone would complain about a video highlighting that relatively short rifle.
Home field advantage. Great shooting from everyone
Savage and Arken. Affordable fun!!
I created a Ranking List as of this episode and shockingly enough, you can apply this system to the old episodes and the leader board doesnt change. Sorry Brandon, I didn't include you lol Courtney Episode 3 - 26 Daniel Episide 1 - 22 Deon Episode 5 - 22 Brian Episode 3 - 16 Ryan Episode 4 - 16
