Adam Grey uses the toms more than I gave him credit for.

Its easy to tell that august burns red was highly influencial to texas in july. In a 2009 video it shows adam and texas's then guitarist play covering an abr song. Abr was like texas in july's idol band. So they wanted to be just like them. Thats why both bands are basically one in the same.

As a drummer from Lancaster PA...it doesn't get better than Adam or Matt. They both can play eachother's sets if they need to fill in...and HAVE. We all just wanna be them🤣🤣

Jesus Christ the China is the ultimate break down cymbal. It just adds that bounce that makes breakdowns and beatdowns SO easy to thrash to.

Its called the swivel technique, basically helps build momentum and rhythm in your feet. George Kolias also does it.

Are you kidding me? He is using basically all of his calf muscles. I play the same way so I know. Heels HIGH up. Plus look at 3:55. He is going pretty fast. It takes a lot of leg power to produce such high speeds with no triggers.

Istg drummers are athletes

I tried it, if you master it is honestly great, you save energy at high speeds and thus you can do it for longer. Very good technique great for high BPM 16 note beats on Doubles bass.

its not plugged into the throne, its taped up to avoid swaying while he's playing. From the looks of it, you can see the headphones connect to a black wire (where the tape is) which leads to the instrument feedback (little black box) and ipod/click track (you can see him pressing it @ 5:07)
