Tetra Tech Designs School with a Modern, Flexible Learning Environment

Ғылым және технология

Tetra Tech teamed with the Cape Henlopen School District to develop a new 720-student elementary school in Delaware. Tetra Tech’s innovative design incorporated environmental requirements, sustainability issues, and concerns from the surrounding communities. The 92,500-square-foot facility includes 45 classrooms, offices, media rooms, nurses’ stations, a cafeteria, gymnasium, band room, and several open common spaces for collaborative learning. Not very realistic. The flex spaces outside of the clasroom clusters end up being used as goof off zones by the kids because they have no supervision. We had flex space between every two classrooms, and the kids from the other class bullied the kids from my class. Those stairs look like a death trap waiting to happen. Zig zag stairs would be better, so when I child trips or is pushed, they only fall down a few stairs instead of a long run of stairs. And the upholstered living room furniture? That's a laugh! If this is ever built, I'd like to see actual footage of the school, on eyear after the teachers and students have been in the space.
