TET France section 22 - part 4

The most southern part of section 22 of the Trans Euro Trail in France. For me this part had also some of the most difficult parts with some drops near the end.

Hi, congratulations for the videos and the route: beautiful! I've been on vacation in those areas but seen like this they are much better. Questions: is the TET technically demanding or is it just going slow? Is it feasible even with bigger bikes (Tenere700, AfricaTwin, etc) or is it strongly recommended to do it with lighter bikes? (I have a CRF300L and a Tenere700)?; where did you sleep (tent or only B&B/hotel)? I always see beautiful sunny days: in what period were you? For safety, are the stretches always reachable by the telephone signal (in case of a fall) or are there many areas not covered? Thanks bye

Thank you for your comments and watching my channel. This was really a nice ride. With the videos on my channel I hope to provide information about the difficulty of the sections so that each rider can see what can be expected. Most parts of section 22 can also be done with a larger bike. However, with my limited experience riding off road, I was glad I was riding my Honda CRF300 rally, especially in the more southern parts of this section with steeper and narrower tracks with loose stones. I was riding this part at the end of September and was staying overnight in hotels. It took me three days to ride this whole section. I'm not a fast rider, because I want to enjoy the surroundings and shoot videos with my drone. During this ride I didn't notice a loss of telephone signal. I hope this answer was helpful.

Hello, I have ridden part of this section with friends, as we live close by. We are still beginners and did this on two T700, one GS750 and one GSA1250. Most of the TET can be done on bigger bikes, as most of it is dual track. enjoy

What is the gopro remote support? I can't find a suitable one to attach to my handlebar sadly

The gopro remote support is 'handmade' by me. On the left mirror I taped some foam to give it a larger diameter and sticked velcro tape around it. On the moment I use also a second gopro remote. The support of this one is made of a small metal plate that is bend and attached to the handlebar with a pipe clamp. Also on this one I put some sticky velcro. On the back of the remotes I also put some sticky velcro so that I can attach them to the supports. I hope this explanation helps.

Thanks for asking. I liked the section 22 of TET France a lot. In general it is not that difficult. However, there were some steep sections with loose stones (see video part 3) where I had problems with going uphill and I had to make a detour. Near the end of the TET I fell twice on downhill sections (see video part 4). With my limited experience I was glad I rode a small bike. It toke me three and a half days to ride this section, but for a faster rider I think it's possible to do it in 2-3 days. I didn't meet other riders on the TET during these days. I hope this answers your question.
