The nasty smell from the magic hair removal powder is the smell of the chemicals dissolving the hair. Don't know if they still make Nair but every teen in that decade knows that smell. 😫

Try charging the fan up fully sometimes things are charged a little as part of the quality control just to make sure they function before packing. There's a small chance it didn't work well because it was on a low charge xx
