The appeal I see for it is less cross contamination of color from the water, and fetching a cup/cleaning it out less often. I found when painting smaller sometimes the paint water can mess with color mixing more than when painting bigger. (But I get that other people definitely don’t get as bothered by such things). As far as for bigger paintings it really isn’t as useful and a cup definitely suffices. Plus there’s the “paint puck” I recently saw another KZreadr test which holds more water, has scrubbers to help clean the brushes, and just overall more features lol.

Honestly, an ideal version of this would have two reservoirs. A deeper one and a more shallow one (except not as shallow as the one in the video.) The shallow reservoir is used to wash your brush first, and the second is to clean off remaining paint. This already the ideal set up for most artists. Having two cups of water makes it so one can get EXTREMELY dirty and still leave the second fairly clear. If they achieved the same with this, where only the shallow reservoir is flushed and not needed to flush every single time, then it would be a super efficient setup.

As someone that also miniature paints, I agree. It feels pointless, especially when I have an old sauce jar that's on the larger size. Also, I know my cats would drink out of it if I wasn't careful and left it out.

Little tip to prevent water spilling! Keep the jar of water up right while putting the base on, then turn it over once somewhat all sealed. I love this thing, and would have way too much fun with it lol, would be great with water colour where the paint is not as thick. Great video!

I find what works better (being as after you dump and refill it there can be water in the dump part that could drip out if turned over) is you cover the two holes in the bottle with a thumb as you turn it over. Then remove right before placing it. Also making sure its turned with the small hole facing away. I dont have this exact one, I use the masterson which is way better, but has the same mechanism of water exiting the jar in to the well.

I have the Paint Puk, the medium size. A bit on the pricey side when postage to Australia is added. But it cleans my brushes beautifully & I can hang the ferrule down to dry or just to wait another turn. It has a lumpy bit in the bottom that gets my brushes lovely & clean. I do still keep a jar of clean water for thinning etc.

What I love about the video is your honesty when it comes to reviews, how chaotic you were with the assembling of the product 🤣 and how you figured it out without the instructions, it shows your independence and your real self❤. I also love your editing skills especially the aggressive shakes 🤣 it’s very entertaining.

the vigorous shaking of the box to get the product out, definitely the best and my most favorite part of the entire video i also relate to the bad relationship made while cleaning brushes, i have that relationship with mine too

I really love your energy in your videos and how you are so honest. I use small paint brushes for nail art mainly. This would look so cute on my table, but I agree that it would take longer to clean brushes with it. My favorite part was the flush noise when you pushed the button😄
