Oh, yeah, I forgot that freezing bread causes that, too, when I put my comment saying "Um, Actually (sorry, needed to make that reference, lol), freezing/refrigerating actually promotes crystalization in the bread, causing it to stale faster, so, you should always keep your bread in an air-tight (preferably vacuum-sealed) bag in the pantry!"

@Aeson Liddic #1. I make toast from frozen bread and it never smokes. #2. I've been freezing bread for 35 years and left it in there for months. It's never come out of the freezer with blue mold. Same for in the fridge. Always keeps the bread from going blue mold much longer.

for the brownie pan pour the batter and then put in the separator thing. It will make the process quicker and you have symmetrical brownies that all cook at the same time. Just an FYI I love these edge pans. its also fun if you want to do a cake or something with different flavoring/toppings like you did.

Basic kitchen rules to guide your choices: 1. Baking is chemistry, so measuring accurately is vital to getting final results that can be replicated. Plus if a recipe doesn’t turn out, you can know what you put in it, and how you need to adjust a specific ingredient to produce the result you’d prefer the next round! 2. Cooking anything in a frying pan/pot/wok in my experience is where you can be free with measurements with less repercussions. This is likely due to a baked good can only be adjusted prior to baking, and the final result from stove top cooking doesn’t change state of matter enough to become ruined by post-cooking adjustments. I hope that makes sense. The too much water in the brownies will lightly cause a thinner and heavier batter consistency and therefore your brownies may not rise properly, or cause uneven cooking so the middle of the brownie could be gooey/undercooked when the edges are fully cooked. HOWEVER, it didn’t appear you put enough water to cause that big of a disruption to your end result. I used to make brownies almost weekly throughout my teenage years (26 now), so I feel great joy for a good ass brownie. ❤ Also that pan seems to be a rendition of the “Perfect Brownie Pan” that was an As Seen On TV item in the 2010’s in the US. I hope someone else remembers it because that simple pan was the highlight of my life when I was able to make and eat brownies all the time. 😭💖 EDIT: SIde note, next time start with the brownie grid piece out of the pan, poor the batter into the empty pan, spread it evenly, then place the grid piece in making sure it makes the bottom. Then put your chocolates into the squares, then bake. There was likely just too much batter in the squares you filled for it to bake in the time and temp you had set.

3:38 baking is literally chemistry. While you can vary the amounts of the materials, elements, & temperatures and get results on a spectrum, you will only get a specific result by duplicating the exact measurements, times, & temperatures. 3:48 _Always_ crack an egg on a flat surface: the membrane will hold all the shell pieces together so you don't get them in the transfer (when you crack the egg on an edge, you cut the membrane, so you are more likely to drop shell pieces in your mix) 15:25 I fall in-love with you a little more with every video 😁

@@youtubecommentergal4346 The trick is to keep track of the adjustments you make to the recipe. Once you get the result you want, copy the adjusted recipe, then use that the next time. As long as you follow the new recipe, you will get the same result every time.
