Absolutely love your videos. I'm really having a hard time right now deciding between this and the Bushnell. In your opinon, which would be the most cost effective for monitor, software, etc all together? i already have a high powered desktop and screen setup, just need to pull the trigger on the monitor. currently rocking the Garmin R10

I love all these toys you get to play with. Wish I had them 30 years ago. Unfortunately, my good golfing days are way behind me. My best bet is to work on chipping and putting - and move up to the gold tees. A lot easier to dial-in shorter distances.

Wish you would of commented on the simulator function cost. I read it is compatible with E6 connect. I went to their website and could not find pricing. Most everyone who gets one of these will want to pair it with a simulator. These things should have at least with a driving range simulator function with the basic software.

Very good looking device .. I think it’s way out of the “normal” golfers budget. IMO $4000 US ... $5000 CAD $5000 for me just doesn’t justify. I’m going to buy a launch monitor of some sort, just have to decide on a price I’m comfortable with paying. More less I want the best for the least. 😃😃 On a side note Gabe I went to local golf store yesterday and tried out new drivers for 2022 seeing if there might be a “possible” replacement for my PING G425. I tried all the big boys with almost all equal shafts and lofts. The first thing I noticed was the sound difference. Wow! They all actually had a nice sound to listen to not this muted and thud from the PING. I spent two hrs hitting back and forth from each driver and the end result ..... I walked out with the Calloway Rogue. The numbers all around favoured the Rogue. From the first hit I knew it was the one! They gave me a smokin trade in deal on my 425, at the end I had to pay $145 for the Rogue. Saves me trying to sell it. So basically I can lease a new driver for one yr for $145. My bag will sure look different with the Rogue standing amongst my PING irons. Take care Dave

thanks for the video. i really like that it can video record, but unfortunately the camera angle is just useless for teaching purposes. Also i miss to see the ball flight, that is so important, just numbers are difficult to give a clear understanding of what the ball did and why. please make a more exact comparison with your bushnell outdoors. that would be very cool thx

Did you try the full swing kit with the pro V1 or pro V1x rct golf balls! Since it is a similar Doppler system to track man it also needs the rct balls to give accurate readings indoors! You can’t knock the system if your not using the technology needed for indoors! I mean launch pro and gc3 are great but for someone with my speed 120+mph it gives you the high launch low spinners where it says they fly 25 yards farther than they really do

Gabe..You hit it on the head with pluses and minus...There were several review by other in the field and they pretty much agree with what you were saying...Also with Tigers name with it the cost will be up there...possible that exrta $ 100 a year....But if it were in the neighbor hood of $ 2,900 I think it would attract more people....Think I will wait till the indoor mode is perfected...

I don't think they charge a subscription fee anymore. The price of the unit is now $5000 and it's not mentioned on their website if there is a subscription. Also, it is now officially licensed by the PGA and comes preloaded with 45+ PGA courses.

Another great video. I have a question, you mentioned some difference on distances between 2 units inside. I was wondering if both units picked up the same numbers, such as speed, smash and so forth? If they did how did they come up with (if I remember) about 40-50-60 yards in difference on the distance, both carry and total distance. Keep up the great work!!!

  • @LetsPlayThru

How much ball flight distance did you have in your indoor potion of the test? I always find that to be the toughest variable to accommodate when I’m hitting inside. I want to give as much flight as possible, but too far from the net/screen and I’m getting wedge shots hitting the ceiling instead of the net!

Interesting. I don’t really see the point of using the radar outside if you are hitting range balls Not side the Full Swing software does any recalibrating to account for limited compression balls. Would be interesting to see if it picks up spin better indoor using the Titelist RCT ball designed for radar devices like this, Mevo, trackman etc.

Hey, If someone can help me out that would be great, I am a very new golfer, 6 months. I have been going to the driving range 1-2 times a week, hitting approximately 220 balls each time. (Even had two lessons, and to be honest they weren’t the best, coach didn’t really tell me to do anything different or new). The driving range I go to you can even play a virtual round of golf through top tracer. I shoot pretty good best is +7 on St. Andrews on the tips, but for the most part I’m anywhere from +7 to the worst is like +18. Now I know that there isn’t putting ( you chip near a post and how many putts depends how close you are) and golfing on an actual course is much much harder than then just a preferred lie every time lol. So anyway I really really want to start golfing at an actual golf course but I’m terrified of just not being good enough and that I may be judged or frowned upon or whatever due to my inexperience. None of my friends are even remotely interested in golfing. I don’t want to golf alone due to the fact that a lot of times I don’t see where my ball flies. ( some days my flights are consistent and I can guess but other times it can be everywhere.) How do I get started in golfing at a course and get connected with the golfing community and get out on the course and all that. Will people mind if I’m not the greatest if I go solo and join a group? Or however it works. So anyway how do I just even get started.

Hi, if you've never set foot on an actual course before my advice would be to find a municipal (public) Par 3 course near you. Hole distances may only vary from about 100-200 yards depending on the size of the course, although it'll be easier to find stray shots and still give you a real-world taste of hitting various irons, chipping, putting, bunkers etc. With it being public course it'll likely be a bit more relaxed in terms of other golfers and dress code etc so you can focus a little bit more on your golf than feeling self-conscious. From here progress to "full" courses and speak to golfers in general (i.e. at the range, Par 3 course, etc). Look for courses that interest you nearby and inevitably you'll look for a membership somewhere - at that point playing in comps and medals, while participating in club events, will quickly build a social element. Most clubs, when you book a tee time as a solo golfer, will group you with a pair or three to keep group sizes fairly consistent so you can meet people that way (usually golfers travelling with work / on holiday find themselves in this situation). So long as you're respectful, friendly and make an effort to understand the ettiquete of playing with others most golfers will be accomodating of a "novice" given we all have to start somewhere - just let them know prior to playing that you're learning :) Best of luck with it. Cheers
