Testing the Sony 200-600mm lens at Lackford Lakes

Ойын-сауық

I'm at Lackford Lakes in Suffolk this weekend to test out my new Sony 200-600mm lens. I've only recently upgraded from the Sigma 150-600mm and boy am I impressed. The AF and tracking are incredible and being native to my A7iv and A7Siii, the lens worked speedily and efficiently.
Even though the weather wasn't great, I still managed to shoot a selection of beautiful birds and animals.
If you're in the market for a super telephoto lens, you'll struggle to find a more perfect due for the Sony camera systems.
Go check it out here: amzn.to/3ZoopkV
And, if you're looking for a venue to spot some fantastic wildlife visit Lackford Lakes in Suffolk.

I also have the Sony 100/400 GM and the 200/600 is actually sharper. So much so, I have sold the GM as the 200/600 does everything and more with that extra reach. It really is a great wildlife lens.

Wonderful video. May I ask, where about in Lackford Lakes is this tree stump that you spotted the nuthatch?

East Lakes Trail. You’ll come across the area as it’s well trodden. Lots of variety around. People often feed that location for the birds and mammals know where to go 😀

@@SimonMcCabe brilliant, thank you. Went to Lackford Lakes for the first time last weekend and was lucky enough to spot two Kingfishers. Will be going back soon so will keep an eye out, thank you
