I try to be respectful and safe when passing. 😁 So thanks. The Patton is great. There's always that new version of something coming out. Unless you want a little more power, speed, or range, I'd keep the Patton for now. Fun wheel.

Sherman S is a great wheel. Unless you feel the Sherman S is lacking or really have a need for speed I'd say just keep the Sherman S. Lynx feels good. But it's a hard sell to shell out another $4k for a wheel that feels fairly similar.

curious about what you guys are using to tether yourself to the wheels. thanks in advance looks like yall had fun
@BalancedAdventure
7 ай бұрын
We had a blast! As far as tethering ourselves to the wheels. I don't currently use anything to secure my wheel to myself. I just use good pads, it this case Grizzla Flow Big pads, along with grippier aftermarket pedals(e-Rides pedals on this wheel) to keep my feet from moving. Dawn Champion uses a tether. Here is a link to her video explaining it. m.kzread.info/dash/bejne/qI6Tm8uxZKXWhag.html Thanks for your comment.
This was such a cool video. I've been hesitant to pull the trigger on my first wheel for awhile now. I'm a heavier person right now but wanna get out there and explore some trails. Since the Lynx is powerful, would it be ideal for a heavier rider in the 270lb range? (So like 280+ with gear). I would lose weight rather quickly but don't want to wear it out during those initial months riding my hilly trails/roads.
@BalancedAdventure
6 ай бұрын
To answer your question, yes, I believe the Lynx has plenty enough power and strength to carry you(with your gear). I don't believe you will have any issues. The Lynx would be a great wheel for a beginner or someone more advanced. However, most people recommend getting something used that's lighter and possibly non-suspension to start out on. That way. you're not beating up your new wheel while learning or get too discouraged. I'd say go for the Lynx if you're comfortable dropping your new wheel while learning. Leaperkim(Veteran) products are TANKS. In any regard, I'm excited for you! Get yourself a wheel and get out there! Thanks for watching my video and commenting. -Aaron
any issues with the Lynx kick stand being too exposed to rocks and stair riding?
@BalancedAdventure
8 ай бұрын
During our riding we didn't experience any of those issues. I'd assume as long as you don't go too slow when doing stairs or drops it shouldn't make contact. Hopefully I can get more time with the Lynx and maybe give a more conclusive answer. Thanks for commenting.
I'm looking at this or the V14 as my first EUC. Which would be the better pick?
@BalancedAdventure
22 күн бұрын
The Lynx is the better choice overall, but both are good. The Lynx has more room to grow, mostly, given it's much higher top speed. I hope you pick/picked the right one and are already learning! Still undecided? Consider using my link: www.ewheels.com/balancedadventure Thanks for commenting. Enjoy riding!

Is the durability of the Lynx in question?
@BalancedAdventure
7 ай бұрын
As of right now, I'm unaware of anything that makes me believe it won't be very durable. The Sherman S and Patton have proven durability and I expect the same from the Lynx. Thanks for your comment, Dustin!

Electric unicycles have a built in protection that at a certain angle the wheel will shut off to protect itself as it assumes you dropped it. This wheel(Veteran Lynx) and others have the ability to adjust at what angle the wheel shuts off. In this case, the angle was set to a shallow angle and it turned off prematurely. This can be corrected by adjusting it to a steeper angle so as to not have the wheel turn off while turning hard or on a berm. Thanks for your comment.

Really bad, would not want to be going full tilt and it cut out like that man... Not a good wheel.
@BalancedAdventure
6 ай бұрын
Within the settings on this wheel you can change the angle in which the wheel cuts out while turning or going on a bank/berm. It's a safety feature so if you drop the wheel it doesn't hurt you or the wheel. If the feature wasn't there the wheel would start spinning uncontrollably and wouldn't stop. So, manufactures put in an angle cut off to stop that from happening. If you intend on taking turns fast enough to scrape the pedals or ride on higher berms you'll want to increase the tilt angle in the settings to a higher degree. Then the wheel won't do what it did at the beginning of the video. The wheel is good. Just have to adjust the setting for what you intend to do with it. 🙂
