As the popularity of rubber straps becomes ever more apparent, and to aid in providing the best personal touch to their wearer’s watches, IWC is introducing a slew of options for the members of their Pilot’s range. Over the last 18 months the brand has updated the water resistance of their core Pilots range to 10 bar, and while most pieces within the Pilot’s range are available on a swimming-ready, stainless-steel bracelet, the traditional and iconic calf skin leather straps aren’t recommended to feature highly at your next pool party. The new range of EasX-CHANGE rubber straps allows for that easy transition from land to water.

Love that strap attachment system. Should become standard on mid-tier Swiss imho.

Awesome! I might just get a Mark XX so I can play with those straps.

These straps surely bring spices to the pilot lines. I hope they'll be a match for my Spitfire Chrono too.

I love my Mark XX Fleiger so much I now have 5 additional easx straps - 3 rubber and two leather total 6 strap options :) This Fleiger is my daily driver so I can easily say this is such a fun timepiece to own.

Interesting - glad to see IWC get in the rubber strap game. To confirm, 20mm and 21mm available? Price point either in Aus or US dollars? Thanks. ⌚👍

The straps are nice and convenient however the pricing is totally insane. It’s priced the same as the leather strap. I can understand a leather strap being priced at €300, but to have the rubber straps be at €300 euros too is insane. I went to the boutique to buy a leather strap but hard passed on the rubber when I saw the price. These are priced without the pin buckle too.

Was just at an IWC boutique and the pin buckle was worn out from them changing out straps for people to try on. The pin kept popping off. Not a good look unless you don’t mind losing 10k off your wrist.

it is possible it was just bent from someone twisting it for example, you have to be careful how you pull it out. Steel will not wear out that quickly because it springs back - there is little friction there. This is a good system and I haven't had issues with it, I don't like the deployant on the watch side though - it rattles and makes noises and makes the strap stiff at the watch side. I installed a custom made strap using the original buckle.

@kylecolby8497 they cost 100$ because of the quality, if you really don't see a quality difference between a 100$ IWC pin buckle and a buckle that's on a chinese silicone strap then what's the point of getting an IWC watch? :) There is plenty cheap options if you don't care about finish quality.

like most straps for expensive watches... seems like it's the standard, except for ORIS which has a strap store on their website most other brands want you to beg for their straps :(
