Testing the $11 TDA7294 Amp Board Genuine IC or Fake | Genuine IC Cost $9.89 each

$11.53 TDA7294 Amp Board Genuine IC or Fake | Genuine IC Cost $9.89 each
The amp is tested on how much power it can do before clipping with 8 ohms 6 ohms and 4 ohms load. Distortion is also shown for each test.
Results | Max output before clipping
8 Ohms Load
Max Voltage Output Peak to Peak - 73.6V
Distortion - 0.062%
Power Output RMS - 84.6 Watts
6 Ohms Load
Max Voltage Output Peak to Peak - 64.8V
Distortion - 0.06%
Power Output RMS - 87.5 Watts
4 Ohms Load
Max Voltage Output Peak to Peak - 54V
Distortion - 0.064%
Power Output RMS - 91 Watts
The specs for the TDA 7294 IC shows that it can do 70 Watts RMS at 8Ω 6Ω and 4Ω load while the amp board with the fake IC can only do about 53 Watts RMS, check it here • $3.5 100W Fake TDA7294... .
The results speaks for itself, the output power of the board has meet what was in the datasheet and even had a lower distortion, thus can say that the IC used in this board is genuine and this is a really good price considering you get the fully assembled board while the genuine IC alone is around $9.89 each + shipping cost (Price based on Mouser 13/02/2024).

Excellent work! Thank you. I just stuffed some boards for the previous model TDA7293. My speakers are all 4 ohm and I think I'm gonna play it safe with 28v and a lota sink!

What is that high-pitched whistling sound. It's hurting my ears...

It is coming from the switch mode power supply, one of the drawbacks of smps.

@boknoynaruto3824 no smps I've ever seen makes that noise unless something is wrong with it, or not designed correctly.

I'm also a bit surprise with this since when I tested the psu I did not noticed this high pitch noise. For a symmetrical psu it only cost $25 shipped, I guessed there is a lot of corner cuts to get to this price point, still I liked using the psu cause its output is adjustable. Edit: I was testing the 405 clone and the high pitch noise was also present and found out that the culprit was actually the load resistor making the noise and not the switch mode power supply as I initially though.I was actually wrong on immediately assuming it was the smps.
