TESTING SHARATH KAMAL ACHANTA'S TABLE TENNIS BAT!
Спорт
Yes guys, amazing news, we're honored to welcome Indian table tennis legend Sharath Kamal Achanta to the TTD HQ, just before his 2022 commonwealth games gold medal victory. This is the first time a pro has visited the HQ, and it was quality to spend some time with him reviewing the new andro Rasanter C53 rubber which he uses on his forehand.
Enjoy!

Dan! First of all, it's very satisfying watching you play counters with Sharath. Secondly, I just saw you in a Mr. Beast Reacts video! CONGRATS!!!! That's HUGE!!! Third, I tried an experimental andro Rasanter C rubber in Germany recently and thought it was quite a cool experience! 8>D

Great review, to the point, have tried this and it's a very nice rubber to use. Great esn rubber!!

I used the nittaku h3. I like having the h3 topsheet and being able to counterpunch the ball.
Welcome back!!

I feel we have gone full circle and Europe is finally catching up, Chinese rubbers have used this formula for years, hard sponge with tacky top sheet, I might ditch my H3 and give this a try, love all your vids ❤

Currently using Hexer Powergrip, which is softer (47.5 listed). How would you say they compare in other departments? Which would you favour for a spin-based twin looper close to the table / mid distance?

I have to say that If you arent a really good player both rasanter c rubbers are to hard
what do you guys do with all the extra rackets ?
Please put D05 and D80 on your rating table. It would be nice to see how you think they compare to some of the others on there.
Kinda interesting, I am very intrigued to get one of those Rasanter since I met with Adam Bobrow who uses them as well as trying them myself in a store (also some people I know use them and like them a lot) still the price .... Also I am still using the Joola Energy X-Soft (I think they are not made anymore since like 6 or 7 years so its harder each year to find "new" ones that were left in some storages) which is only 37° (and still feels much softer then the Gewo 37 as example) so yeah the Question is going to an R37 or something harder .... I am very intrigued by the R45 but hearing the C versions have more spin and a little bit less speed that could be even better for me as an Allround player focusing mostly on good placement as well as spinny serves.

Mate, it's your blade that makes all the difference in the speed, not your rubbers. Your rubbers are more for throw angle and spin. Plus, rubbers control whether you can give the ball a professional wallop at your maximum swing, or if it's unnecessary for you because you're not capable of it. Try the Rasanter C48 on an inner-carbon blade of some sort. Depending on your play style, go for a blade that's either OFF or OFF-. If it's OFF, then try to play counters from close and mid-range with the FH and the BH. You'll need to be unafraid on the BH like Dima for this setup. You'll also need to try to bring the heat as early and as often as possible, which will mean that you have to take risks in order to win with this setup. . If it's OFF-, then loop your opponents to death from everywhere and try to load up those 3rd ball attacks with as much spin as possible. Just make sure those loops are deep as well. Otherwise, they're going to get countered back at you at about half the speed of sound. Move back immediately after your first loop and keep trying to play the ball as deep as possible with as much spin as possible. You'll need to play a Ma Long style backhand for this setup, if you want to be effective. And you'll need to be ready to rally with this setup.
Dan you have improved a lot mate, keep it up!!!!!!!!

Review the donic appelgren 89 blade
I am using the same blade as Achanta for 2 years, I can say the control is good, strong open play is good for forehand, however I am struggle a bit in backhand, maybe due to the blade is quite heavy (93g). Exchange between forehand and backhand could be some problem as well due to weight. Overall it's a good blade from Andro
These "hybrid" rubbers are really flooding the market now I am using Xiom Jekyll and Hyde rubbers (H) on my forehand and (V) on my backhand I'd like to see a review of what you think of these new Xiom products

Both rubbers I'm using are the 52.5 hardness
For everyone searching for rubbers with extreme spin and speed you should look into the donic Accadi series

personally speaking, fastarc g1 is the best rubber i have tried in my whole life. no questions asked. hybrid k3 is also good but sometimes u will feel the last of explosion. i know explosion lies in the mechanics and footwork but we as intermediate players, don't have the time to invest in drills and footwork. so in the long run. Depends on how you think. I came to conclusions of getting very fast rubber for backhand too and this is why was watching this video. My thinking is same as he said in this video, that is, with backhand it is hard to generate speed so to make up for this i want faster rubber. On forehand we have changes to generate speed by our bigger hand motion so there i use hurricane 3 a slower but spinny rubber.
I use vistas triple double extra!

@@sashbar I used to play with Rakza7 but after I started getting more coaching it became a bit too slow for me. I needed a bit more pace, spin and power on my shots. Also Rakza7 is a bit too soft when you get to certain level and then it is easier to bottom out so the ball flies without an arc directly into the net. But it was a really good setup for 2 years I used it :)

Hey, perhaps you should revise the table. If t05 has control 8, which one has control 5 ?! Perhaps Donic acuda blue? I’m just saying, I think that H3 and t05 are a world apart in terms of control.
We should proud on him🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳
Played with the Nittaku PK-50 for a long time. Kinda like you say here. You have to commit and do the full strokes! And you get a beutiful and easy to put the ball on the table. But if you don't do the work. You are F*cked!
I dont get why they are so hell bent on speed being that important. Just hit the ball harder ;D ... maybe you should do some core exercises to get more explosive rotation in your mid-section instead of spending so much money on gear. Also, review one of the most popular blades in the world, the Nittaku Acoustic, please.

@@jiboo6850 you're not necessary wrong, but it's usually because of wrong technique
@jiboo6850
Жыл бұрын
@@Shrimp0kUgel are you saying that most euro pro players cant hit right? Come on... its just a matter of being used to speed. When you can manage speed it becomes hard to step down on speed. Boll used Primorac carbon blade for a reason. With his signature blade, D09c was too slow and he had to hit much harder. He wasnt comfy. He did hurt his already beaten up shoulder because of that. Which forced him to take Primorac blade to compensate. Hes not a powerhouse. And being too old and injured cant compensate the necessary power with his signature blade. His technique is pretty good. He just doesnt open his arm enough to generate power like Ma Long does per exemple. No booster either so ...

I'm happy with the 47-48 hardness but I don't like the "catapult effect2 caused by the large porous sponge. Therefore I ask you: can you recommend two or three models of rubbers with medium or fine pores? I have in mind : Rasanter 47, Rasanter 48, Tibhar MXS, Xiom Omega VII pro. What do you think? do they have small pores? Thank you for your possible response. Greetings from Sardinia, Marcello.
