Herobrine is actually mojang's structure bot (it summons a structure and if theres an issue it will report it to Mojang)

I think Herobrine is really a hacker that takes over someone's Minecraft world in hopes of finding out someone's personal information.

I have actually seen herobrine, I was playing on a downloaded city world and herobrine spawned in beside me, I had this effect called 'fog' and when I attacked herobrine I couldn't damage him. I tried to go to the nether after he disappeared and I was almost instantly teleported out and in the chat said in red text, 'herobrine has temporarily banished you from the nether'. over the next few days of playing buildings were starting to disappear and the terrain was acting weird, I haven't played that world since.
