I like the positioning of the cat actually. It’s looking into negative space which really works. I’m here because I’m trying to resist getting these and you’re not helping 😄

Yaaaaas Fall is the best 🙌🏻🍁🍂🎃!! Congratulations on the 2nd channel! Ooooo metallic pencils are soooo pretty 😍! I’ve got metallic pens and markers- but not pencils. Need to add some to my collection. Since it’s on black paper- the swatches look 3D to me 🤩. Good idea buying the traditional colors first- to see if you’re going to like them. WOAH obsessed with the drawing!! Love whiskers 🐱!! After seeing this I most definitely need to add some to my collection! 💖

Two channels; now that's ambitious! 😂 I really like Derwent Metallics; I have some of the other colours too and they're all very nice. The kitty turned out wonderfully! 😻

I know, right! The new channel has somehow helped me gain more inspiration. It's also made me realize how much maintenance an art channel is- the whole sketching, finishing an artwork, voiceovers, all of that on top of regular editing! I have a deeper appreciation now😂of course the horror channel will stay secondary! I will have to buy more of the metallic colors eventually, mwahaha😂

Just had to pause the video to say I am going over to your other channel right now, I love horror stuff! (Then I'm coming right back to keep watching here lol)

I have a set of the Derwent Metallic pencils and I've only used them once, so I wouldn't be much use in suggesting what to draw next with them, lol. But your cat was cool!

I love these pencils. I have the full 20 set. You would have done well to have the blue in your collection when you started this cat. The blue and silver pencils would have given you more opportunities with the fur. It's a beautiful cat sketch though. I wish I could do that. I use my Derwent metallics in colouring books. Ideal for steam punk.

Now that I see how well these pencils perform, I'll probably pick up the remaining colors soon! I'd love to try out the purples, blues and reds. Though I'm not sure I have much use for them in daily artwork haha. Thank you for watching💙

Hi Alexis Have the prismacolor metallics, haven't used a whole lot, but I like them. Cat turned out nice 🙂 I think the cat was placed purr-fect 😉 Not into horror movies, they tend to be terrible 😃 I think some Jack o lanterns and candles with autumn leaves would be good Halloween themed drawings, especially with the metallics 🙂 Looking forward to your Halloween drawings 🙂

It seems like metallics don’t have a ton of purpose but they’re super fun! I’m glad you liked the cat too. The candles would be a good idea, and I’ve done Jack o lanterns before but I think I’d like to do more!! Thank you for watching😊

i don't have metallics. but i would use them togehter with other "normal" colored pencils ^_^ as a "highlight" . for shimmer in the fur or something like that.

Hmm yes that would be a nice idea. It would also work well for anything that is supposed to look shiny!

Alexis, I have a question for you. Now that you've been able to test out/ use these Derwent Metallic Pencils, would you: A. Definitely buy the Derwent again? B. (Considering how much you love the Cretacolor brand, buy the Cretacolor metallic pencils? Or, C. Not invest in a full set of metallic colored pencils, but rather just pick a few good basics because you find that you don't use them as much as you though you would? Thanks so much for your thoughts on this subject!!

I think I would buy more of the derwent colors to complete the collection just because I already have some! I’m not sure I’d buy another brand of metallics because I’ve noticed it’s really rare I’d even use them! So a combo of A and C! I do have to say that I think the metallic pencils may come a little more in handy during the holiday season😆

the first way you said pewter is they way I've always heard it pronounced i hate metallic coloured pencils, you cant really use them with most work and they are often scratchy havent tried the Derwent ones because of past bad experiences with metallic pencils and dont want to waste money

The derwent metallics are super soft, not scratchy at all! I’ll have to try out more colors just to make sure though. And thanks for the tip, I’m bad at pronunciation😂
