a tip for the hair: as someone who likes to draw, you shouldn't do the shading highlights one strand by one. It makes it kind of chaotic and hard to look at, as well as distracting because its on a cartoony style character. My tip is to use the 'hair oil brush' like you did for the darker areas and lower the opacity to make more chunkier highlights, and then add a sharp highlight, like a wavy line across the bangs or something like that. You don't have to follow this, it just makes the hair match more onto the character. :)

U can actually, for the “dark” part u can use like ACTUAL black and in the “normal” u can do the the black we had in gacha life before the mega black and for light u can use like a dark grey “hope this helps( ^^)

quick tip from an artist: PLEASE dont draw your hair individually!! drawing every single hair 1 by 1 looks very messy! of course, there is an exception for digital artists if you have a brush made for hair (brushes with many strands), but using a brush with only ONE strand to draw hair doesn’t always turn out right, and takes LOTS of time to do. so in order to save time and to make your art look less messy, i recommend drawing hair as shapes, or in bunches, not individually!

Warning for some things I spotted in the video! For some things it’s totally fine if you replace a green screen with a gray screen, but if you were trying to do something with colour key you can’t use a gray screen, you would need something bright that is not on your character. If you have a green character I would recommend pink. It was noted that in one tutorial they didn’t explain much, it only worked for what they were working on, and it was really fast. What I’ve found from looking through tutorials is many of them seem to be more of a speed edit than a tutorial, and while it is great to use these as reference I would not label them as tutorials. Final thing is preference, but the first edit tutorial was drawing in hairs one by one, and although this does make it realistic, it won’t usually work on a gacha character’s simplistic style. Too much detail can be an overload, and especially when it’s on a character that isn’t realistic it can look wonky. Although these are just my opinions, if you wanna go ahead and show off your mad skills at editing hair go at it!

you guys can take a screenshot and import it to ibis paint, you can make the colors more lighter by putting white on it and lowering down the opacity! anyways, after you’re done with that, you hold on the color that you want and then go to your color palette, and drag it to the place you want; and don’t worry, your color palette never runs out of space! if you want to delete some colors, you can go to your color palette and hold on the color you want to delete (yes, even the ugly default neon colors) then you should see something that says ‘Entry’ and ‘Delete’. If you want to delete it, then obviously, click the ‘Delete’ button! I’m not sure what ‘Entry’ does so if you know then please let me know!

14:07 The eye shading mainly works with purple, red, dark blue, and green eyes XD It doesn’t work as much with any type of color qwq so I recommend using one of those colors if you can! Or if you have OC’s with one of those colors you can use this tutorial as well ^^

Black wont work cause its a very dark colour. Because, the girl shaded her red eye with a darker colour of red, but since black is already dark you couldn't shade it.

It’s actually really easy to make an organized palette. Go to Pinterest (or google but I prefer Pinterest) search up color pallet for ibisPaint then choose one. Save it, then go into ibis and put it into a canvas and save the colors. It might take awhile but it’s worth it
