I think it’s important to note that stiff carbon used on the top poles is made for being stiff at 14.5m plus but they lack the absorption of the cheaper poles when fished at shorter lengths. So I would love a comparison not just at length but fishing say 5-10m and hooking lumps.

Got the Diawa SR 3 but just I bought the Preston edge monster 10m cracking pole

Hi I watched all the pole reviews you have done on Map , Matrix and Daiwa but I haven't seen one on Preston . I have a Preston edge monster 8.5 m which is a great for pulling in carp even over 10lb, but want to step up to 13m or 14m i have looked at the Preston protype X200 as well as the ones you feature in your review. i was just wondering what you would recommend my budget it around £500

Great video as always Ben... but if you add the money out of all the poles you have tested which one would you recommend?..Best alround..Daiwa,Preston, Browning....?

I do love the G90 Tbh but the Matrix is a fab bit of kit you cant really go wrong I would waggle both see how the packages suit your fishing needs. Either would be a good investment I would say the G90 would benefit you on the other side when you trade up again.

Hi Ben, I’ve been told there’s not much between the tourney pro x and the airity, I’ve seen a pro x xls version for a good price and would love your opinion? Is it really worth a go at or worth saving for say an airity (air z isn’t an option 🙁) any advice is appreciated especially cos I know the xls now seems redundant 👍

Both are superb matey tourney is heavier but well balanced and stronger but airily is worth the extra cash

Have you tried the mw1 9m pole? Just wondering if you had an opinion on it.

So which rod is the best as i see most of them are soft not hard and not stiff which is not good for pole fishing Except for the second rod which was nore stiffer and more hard which is good

What pole would you recommend for general coarse and match fishing. Preferably around or under £800. I was looking at the matrix mtx 2.

Yeah lots to choose from you should also look at the Cadence cp2000

Wrong way around. Start with the top end pole and work your way down
