Testing out a CHEAP Skid Steer Trencher Attachment
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
It is time to test out my new Wolverine Trencher, which I purchased at a Richie Brothers Auction.
Even though it is a knock off brand, I hope it will dig plenty of trenches through our tough silt-stoney soil. Check out the video for the trencher in action, and my preliminary review of how it handles our land!

Ya, she is pretty great! Runs most of the equipment
2nd Comment - This worked so well in your video that I would consider using this to establish our 30" deep barrier for our bamboo grove.

I ended up using it to help bury my fence for predators too!
Nice man, good stuff.
You're making me wish we had a trencher for our downspout drain renovation project that's lasted us over a year. 😂

It does help make quick work of things!
I bought a Lowe trencher for 300 dollars about 15 years ago. I had to make parts as they were no longer available but it cuts through even coral rock!

Wow. That’s a great price! Does it have the rock teeth on it? The ones that look like little bullets?

@@MakersAcres Yes the teeth it came with were rounded and falling out so I replaced them with newer ones.
Ha!! I got the same trencher.. think I'll go for the Auger too. Anyway, for my "Crumbershoe", I have all the parts, but can't figure out how it goes on.. a few ways, but nothing looks like it positions it properly. Was hoping you had a pic! Oh well.. so far works great! Who needs a "Crumbershoe" anyway.

I do have the auger as well. Don’t forget to add the oil to the gearbox if you do get one. You are lucky you got all the parts. I’ll post a video of fixing this part in the future, but I haven’t really needed it.

My ASV RT40 only puts out 13.3 GPM, But it works fine! Digging rate 40+ inch depth.. rocky/sand/big roots averages abt 1 ft. Per minute at a medium 2200 RPM. I have a stump that I ground pretty flat, but isin the way. I think given 15 mins I can cut thru the stump! Had dullish carbide tips which gnaw thru roots pretty well.

@@MakersAcres if this trencher actually works as beyond a stump grinder.. a Stump Remover! Huge fan of ASIS: ASS STAYS IN SEAT my big 420cc stump grinder is a handful to position and handle

Ya, just want to make sure you get the chain tension right. Since they didn’t include a manual, I think I looked at the bobcat one to check and make sure I got it right.

@@joelkPPG great! Let us know! Mine was missing a few parts I still need to make for the boom.
I thought it was called a felangy!!!
I just bought this same trencher and it says it’s a high flow, but the hydraulic lines that came on it only fit the standard flow hookups. Is yours on your high flow or standard flow?
@MakersAcres

Mine is standard flow. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a high flow trencher.
How deep of a trench does it dig? Thank you and thanks for sharing

How’s the trencher now after some more uses? We bought some cheap attachments and can’t find parts. Thx

So far so good on this one. I have a compactor that has been a huge pain in the ass. I have had to make a few parts for it. What attachments are you looking for parts on?

Mine has 3 hydraulic lines. One is a return. Which one? Unfortunately they may not match. Mine is a mower king.

Normally the smaller line is the case drain and goes to the smallest quick connect on your machine. You can also identify this line as being the closest line to the gear box or the blade. The other two lines should be in line with each other if that makes sense.
SO you would recommend this Richie Auction trencher?

When I used the trencher in my goat pen build videos, I talk about it more. I went to around 30” deep. This trencher can go to 40-48” if need be.
