Got mine 2 weeks ago. Main reason for buying; 4mm eyelets never came out good with the variopliers, now they're nice evenly pressed. I like the premium quality prym buttons and eyelets, very well made, so I bought a big variety box new from a closed store. The trifoot presser for placing buttons/colorsnaps or whatever in the middle of fabric comes in handy too. Prym 10 stars! :)

I need to add this to my wishlist. I got another awesome gadget for sewing this week. It’s a Presserfoot for your sewing machine. It’s not a clip on presser foot but a good size attachment for your sewing machine. This thing is awesome. It holds down your fabric while sewing. It is a seam guide, and you can sew hems on right side of fabric without marking the fabric. Another KZread person posted about it. Her name is J. stern and she has videos about it. First video is a cool tool her father got her and then a follow up video with a different way to install it. I’ve read those with cover stitch machines really like it.

@@lindafitzsimmons2526 I have seen some things I would like to buy at Temu, but I also like to support ones like J.Stern and others like her. It was $11.00 on Amazon and I paid for it with a gift card but I still would have gone through her affiliate link no matter how I paid for it. This thing is awesome once you learn how to use it.

Very neat tool. But is it something I can justify buying? I, for one, will have to think seriously about it. Thank you for sharing your new tool.😊

That's a good idea for people living in apartments. It takes less space than few different tools and is definitely more quiet than a hammer. If I used metal eyelets or snaps I would definitely consider it.

This looks very interesting, but, in order to use this Vario Creative Tool, do I need to also use their snaps, rivets and eyelets too? If so, I am very limited and HAVE to only use those from Prym no matter what the price might be.

I think it will work with others too, I don't see why it wouldn't. It would be awful if it wouldn't work with other brands of notions. Julija did this video in partnership with Prym so I think she couldn't show us different ones.

If you're not predominantly using Prym notions anyway, just get a regular eyelet press. There's no point in getting a very expensive brand name tool like this, unless you need it for compatibility.

I wanted to buy this thing as I'm planning on sewing and selling corset but I don't understand a few things. Why is the set of these things 0,5 mm apart (2,5, 3,0, 3,5 i 4,0 mm) and I can buy also 11 and 14 mm set but there's nothing in between like 6 or 9 mm? Is there something I don't understand or is it just stupid?

Hello Sewing Julie, I live in the United States and I love this tool. I am a new subscriber to your channel. If I purchase this tool, does the manual have the accessory information inside?

  • @Julija_Gobere

The manual that comes with a tool has information on tool parts and essential steps in usage. Punching or setting tools (or adapters, as they are sometimes called), come separately and they have illustrated instructions on how to use each item. All available accessories are listed on Prym website (I added a link to video description). Bit I’m not sure if this tool is available in USA🤔

Presser around 70euro, the big eyelet tools that do not come with a package around 17euro. The 14mm eyelet tools are also max size for presser.

Looks like a neat tool. I like the Prym eyelets and snaps and such. They're ridiculously overpriced, but excellent quality. So for occasional use, they're my choice over getting value packs of ebay or something. And this looks much better, than the handheld thingy, which can easily set eyelets a little croocked. The current price is a hard no from me, though. I'd pay 30, maybe 40€ for this, but not 70-90. That's ridiculous. They're really not doing themselves any favors, by trying to rip off customers like that. This isn't 20 years ago, when you basically had no choice but what your local sewing supply store had on offer. It's an eyelet press. A very simple, mechanical device, that has been around since forever. Not a groundbreaking invention or something, that's expensive to produce. Sorry, not your fault, I know. It just pisses me off, that they would rather sell a small quantity to a very limited class of very affluent customers, rather than making this neat tool available for a realistic price, that's acceptable to your average hobby sewist these days.

And it seems to be made of plastic. I have an iron presser tool and was cheaper and is excellent. Of course I bought it on sale. I don’t think this is a tool for someone that is going to use it a lot. Not for bag makers 😉

Do you have a specific pattern you’ll be using?🤔 Usually the pattern will have an indication if the pieces for inside and outside are the same (often they are, but sometimes no). The inner fabric is lining, there are stretch lining options, but not every store carries it 🤗

@@Julija_Gobere Thank you very much for your reply.. I have a pattern that I am following and this is the pattern that you showed me on KZread Dartless Pattern Block I want to follow it because the fabric I will be using is tulle (outside) and something stretchy (inside) I just want to know how many centimeters to reduce when the fabric is too stretchy.. it's like mesh because I will put rhimestone the whole body on mesh fabric.. For me this is not essential, it doesn't add much value. For the moment I will stick with the old fashion way. It gets the job done even with my arthritic hands.
