Because every mob has an AI, and the AI will detect the block then walking on it, such as an iron bar its not a full block to us but its a full block for them, as they see any type of block as a full block

I love when the mob is 1 more iq test then he fails

A pillager does not know how to use any weapon other than a crossbow, so if you give them an axe/sword, or if their crossbow breaks, they become docile, however iron golems and snow golens and other villagers still see them as a threat.

I have a theory about the crossbow pillager. Every single crossbow pillager has a diffrent accuracy. But it has a 0.01% rate of a pillager getting a 0% accuracy.
